The wall control is hard wired and doesn't use the receiver in the logic board which the remotes do. You most likely have a bad logic board.

Try this
Method one- with set on, hold down the exit button on the remote for 10 seconds. It will bring up the warning it will reset to the defaults it had when removed from the box and powered up initially. in the warning box it will show the cancel button highlighted initially. press the left arrow to select the reset option. You may end up doing this blind, so you may need to try it a couple times and the only indication of where you are is just a slight flash from part of the screen.
Once that left arrow has been pressed once, the reset option choice changes to "Ok" or "reset", press "enter" The set should
do it's thing to reset and then shutdown.,

Method 2
it should get you into the hotel settings, but you can reset to factory defaults from there, changing any other settings may limit access to the normal settings.
Shut the set off.

The while holding the mute, menu and info buttons, trun the set on while holding them down. If the functions portion of the board is working, it should bring up hotel options menu.

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. You are also going to want to make sure that you have fresh batteries in the remote and if you do not replace them with new ones. I will list here for you the instructions for readdressing your remote to your receiver box. I hope these instructions help and if you have any further questions or concerns feel free to email me directly at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com.

Instructions for readdressing your remote to your receiver box.
  1. Take your TV2 remote to your TV1 location where the receiver box is.
  2. Go to System Info screen. You can do this by pressing the menu button twice on the TV1 remote or by pressing the system info button on the front of the receiver box. You may need to open the small door on the front right side of the receiver box to locate the buttons.
  3. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  4. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote. Change the number to something different then what is listed in the small white square next to secondary remote address.

My control doesnt work..it has new batteries in it but the only thing that it will do is raise the volume nothing else..what is wrong with it?

Hi, my name is Cheri Torres with DISH Network customer service. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. If you remote is not functioning anything besides the volume and you have already replaced the batteries your remote may need to be readdressed or put back in to SAT mode. You can first try to press the SAT mode to insure that it is in the correct mode to control the satellite functions. If it is in sat mode you will then need to try and readdress your remote to the DISH Network receiver box. I will list the instructions here for you on readdressing your remote. I hope you find this information useful. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to post back here or email me at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com.

Instructions for readdressing your remote to receiver box.

  1. Go to System Info scree. You can enter the system info by pressing system info on the front of the receiver box or you can press the power button once and then the channel up button once on the front of the receiver. You may need to open the little door on the front right side of the receiver box in order to locate the buttons. If both options do not work you may have to open the door on the front left side of the receiver and pull out the smart card.
  2. Once you are in system info you will see primary remote address (TV1) and secondary remote address (TV2). Locate the number that is in the white square.
  3. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  4. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change to a different number then what is listed in the white square.
  5. Press the pound (#) button
  6. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

I am trying to connect a wireless ready Samsung blueray player to my Motorola Surfboad and it says to press the wps button on the surfboad, where is it?

NOTE: [] & "button(s)" represent features on the remote controller. {} & "key(s)" represent features in on-screen menus.
=======================================================================

ROUTER INFO: WPS is on the SBG901.

BLU-RAY DISK PLAYER: You did not mention the model # of the Samsung Blu-ray disc player, so this information is somewhat generalized.

PREREQUISITE: Once you have attached Samsung's proprietary wireless adapter to that Blu-ray player, have connected that Blu-ray player to your TV, & have powered on that router & Blu-ray player & TV, access that Blu-ray player's initial settings menu.

STEP ONE: From the Home menu, press ?? buttons to select "Settings." Press [ENTER].
STEP TWO: Press ?? buttons to select "Network." Press [ENTER].
STEP THREE: Press ?? buttons to select "Network Settings." Press [ENTER].
STEP FOUR: Press ?? buttons to select "Network Type." Press [ENTER].
STEP FIVE: Instead of using the the "PBC (WPS)" selection, press ?? buttons to choose the "Wireless" selection & press [ENTER].
STEP SIX: Press ?? buttons to select "Internet Protocol Setup." Press [ENTER].
STEP SEVEN: Press ?? buttons to select "Auto" or "Manual." Press [ENTER].

IF SETTING UP WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY VIA AUTO NETWORK SEARCH: If you selected "Auto," press the ? button to go to "Access Point Selection." Press [ENTER]. Upon searching for available wireless networks, it will display those choices in a list.
A.) In the list of networks, press ?? buttons to select your network. Press [ENTER].
B.) IF "PIN/Security" DOES NOT POP UP, THEN SKIP THIS STEP; otherwise, press ?? buttons to select PIN or Security (Security Key--the usual option), & enter your network's Pass Phrase on the Security screen. (This Pass Phrase would be what you would use to access the network. IT SHOULD NOT THE PASSWORD WITH WHICH YOU SET UP YOUR ROUTER!)
Press number buttons on the remote to enter Pass Phrase numbers OR use arrow buttons on the remote to move from key to key in the Security Key screen. Change the type of on-screen accessible characters by moving to the on-screen {a/A/1/?} key & pressing [ENTER] on the remote. (The character set changes with each press of [ENTER]. Once displayed on the screen, you can enter a letter by pressing the number button on the remote which corresponds to that letter key. Pressing that button repeatedly changes the letter. You can move to {Delete} & press [ENTER] in order to remove the last character entered. You can move to {Clear} & press [ENTER] to clear all entered characters (or just press the red [(A)] button. When done, press the yellow [(C)} button (or the {Done} key followed by [ENTER]).
C.) WAIT UNTIL THE CONNECTION CONFIRMATION MESSAGE DISPLAYS & THEN PRESS [ENTER]. You're back at the Network Selection menu.
D.) To test the connection, press ? to select "Network Test." Press [ENTER].

IF YOU REQUIRE ASSISTANCE WITH SETTING UP THE WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION MANUALLY, I SUGGEST THAT YOU READ THE MANUAL (http://www.samsung.com/us/support/).

Hi there, this is Cheri Torres with DISH Network customerservice. I came across your post recently and wanted to see if I couldhelp you get this issue resolved. If your remote is controlling the receiver byitself, continuously scrolling through the channels and volume on its own, sounds like you have an issue with interference. The interference couldpossibly be by another person in your area having the same remote address asyou or you might just need to change your remote address to eliminate any otherinterference you might be experiencing. I would like to give you instructionson changing the remote address on your TV to stop this issue from happening. Ihope you find these steps useful in fixing your issue. If you have any furtherquestions or concerns feel free to post back here or email me atCheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com. :)

  1. Go to System Info screen. In order to get into system info you will have to press the system info button on the front of the DISH receiver box. If your receiver does not have this button you can also press the power button once and then the up arrow button once on the front of the DISH receiver. The last option you can try if all else fails, would be to open the smart card door on the front left side of the receiver and pull out the smart card.
  2. Once your in the system info screen you will want to find the remote address. For TV1 you will see primary remote address and for TV2 you will see secondary remote address. You are going to want to change the number that is listed in the small white box.
  3. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  4. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  5. Press the pound (#) button
  6. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Hi! I will be more than glad to assist you in this concern. Lets Isolate the problem, press 1st the sat button once on the remote that is giving you a problem. the sat button should light up and check if you could pull up the guide or can change the channels. if there is still no response, bring with you the remote conrtol that is giving you a problem on tv1, turn on the tv and it should show a picture, go to the fron tpanel of the receiver and press the power button once to turn off the green light, once its off, the tv will go into a black or snowy screen, press the up button on the front panel of the receiver until it shows the system information. look for the primary and secondary remote address, ex, primary remote address is 1 on the white box and 1 on the green box, secondary remote address is 2 on the white box and 2 on the blue box, how to reprogram the remote, press and hold the sat button on the remote that is giving you a problem and wait until all lights lit up, once it lit up release it and press any number from 1 to 15, but lets choose 9, then press the pound button (#) that is under number 9, once you press pound button, the sat button should flash 3 times, then after it flash, press the record button, that is under the cancel or view tv button., you will notice that the secondary remote address was change from 2 to 9. to save the setting, get the remote1, select done on the screen and it will show a black or snowy screen. to check the remote 2 if it works, press the sat button once and the the big red power butto, the blue light should turn on if there is no blue light but there is, the blue light will turn off, then before you go to the tv2 location make sure that blue light is on and then check on the tv2 location if you could change the channels now. just incase that the problem is still there, check the remote antena on the back of the receiver, make sure that its on the upright position to broadcast the uhf signal properly.. that should fix the problem. if just incase the problem still exist, call 1800-333-3474 ask for a replacement of the remote..pls feel free to get in touch..if you have any query

Cannot control Vip222 with sling classic

I have read elsewhere that Slingboxes required the Dish Network receivers to be set to Primary Remote Address 1.

To try a fix:

Using the Dish Network Remote Control -
1. Press menu 2 times to get to system info page
2. In the system info page the Primary Remote Address is in a white box (bubble) followed by a Green TV (1)symbol that says IR and indicates the channel to which remote control 1 is configured.

If the Primary Remote Address of your Dish VIP722 Remote control 1 is not set to channel 1, here is how to change it:

1. While displaying the system info page, press and hold the SAT button on your dish network remote until all other modes are flashing, about 3 seconds.
2. then press the '1' button on the numeric pad of your dish remote
3. then press the '#' button on the numeric pad of the dish remote
4. then press the 'record' button (red dot button - stores setting)
5. At this point you should see a number 1 in front of the primary remote address on the dish system info page

Ensure you enter the corresponding IR code into your slingbox remote control per the instructions in the Slingbox documentation.
