Never in my life would I have thought I would have a favorite Jewelry store. Wearing a solar watch now. When the idiots change time zones, I have them re-set my watch. I suggest you take your watch to a competent jeweler. They will have a "Watch guy,"

SOURCE: can't get my croton watch to work.

There are a few possible reasons why your watch is not working:

  1. The battery is dead (sometimes even new watches have a dead battery in them).
  2. The plastic piece between the crown and the watch case was not removed (this protects the battery from wearing down until you receive the watch).
  3. You bought a watch with a damaged movement and it just will not work period so you may have to return it, exchange it, or have it repaired
These are the 3 reasons why your watch could not be working. The reason will fall into one of these 3 categories, so I hope this helps!

SOURCE: How to remove the back cover of the swiss army

The back will either have a small slot on one edge to pry it off or indentations around the perimeter for a case wrench to unscrew it. Specialized tools are used to avoid scratching the case. You best bet is to take it to a watch shop and let them do it. Most places charge between $3 - $8 to properly do it without damaging the case and they should also change the gasket to maintain water resistance if so equipped. Once you have it open you risk damaging the movement as you change the battery. It's not that it's a tricky procedure but you can easily damage something that will cost a LOT more than $8 to fix if you don't have experience.

SOURCE: Good morning. I am considering

The repair to the winder may be only £30.00 but will the watch then work well.Parts for old Omegas can cost a premium and the watch may need a service.A service to an Omega by a good watchmaker will cost £170.00 ish and if it needs parts this will rise.
As to value if its 14ct on a bracelet the gold is worth about £12.00 a grm so if its 30g then the gold is £350/£400.00
Its hard to say what to pay without knowing if the watch works well,if it needs £200.00 spending on it the value is reduced to little more than the gold value so id weigh the watch work out a gold value and then a small amount.
If you need a repair try www.rolexrepairs.co.uk they offer a free estimate.

It's rarely possible to give any kind of definitive valuation without seeing a watch (pocket or wrist) in person, but it sounds like you have an inexpensive pocket watch that was probably made in the 1960s, less likely made in the 1970s or 1950s. The use of the term "antimagnetic" on the watch, as opposed to "17 jewels," suggests that the watch is powered by a 1-3 jewel pin lever movement, rather than a more expensive movement. These movements can keep quite good time, but they are not valued by watch collectors unless the rest of the watch is of compelling interest.

In terms of value, your pocket watch has more value as a piece of jewelry than as a vintage timepiece. Most watch collectors would not be particularly interested in your watch. In the United States, I've seen similar watches, in running condition, sell for $5-10 at vintage watch fairs. Around where I live (the Northeast), as a piece of jewelry, your watch may be worth twice that but not more. I cannot speak to pricing in other parts of the country or internationally.

Is my ARMANI AR1410 authentic

You really have to have somebody look at it. Some of us can just take the watch from your hand and tell its fake from the feel. Some knockoffs are much more convincing. Serial number could be inside the watch too. I opened a "Swiss made" watch once, and on the inside the actual watch movement said "made in China". They had used the case for the real thing but put an el cheapo movement inside!

Learn about your watch by following these links. Hope it halps. http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/6584638 Cyma was a company name under the Tavannes umbrella of watch co. names. Founded in 1891 by Henri Sandoz (1851-1913) after 20 yrs of success at the helm of his first company, Henri Sandoz and Cie., the Tavannes Watch Co. was known for many patents and new innovations including patents and contributions for repeaters (chiming watches), pocket chronometers (highly accurate pocket watches), marine chronometers (ships clocks), chronographs, extra thin movements, hermetic (waterproof) cases, metal dials, parts of all kinds and even their own shock protection devices. By the 1920's the Tavannes Watch Co., Tacy (short for Tavannes and Cyma) Watch Co. and Cyma Watch Co. were one of Switzerland's most productive and popular manufacturer's with offices in nearly every overseas market. http://mb.nawcc.org/showthread.php?t=624 What it's worth- only the watchmaker can tell after inspection, as there are too many things to be connsidered (quality of movement and craftmenship, working order, looks, age, state of case, glass, crown, hinges, etc, etc)

Please tell me where the serial and model numbers arre on a Bulova marine Star 100m. men's copycay513@gmail.com

Most of the time you can find the serial and or model number on the first link that is attached to the case of the watch on the back. Often there is a serial number on the back of the case itself. If not in any of these locations you may have to open the case and look on the inside of the case. Be careful with opening case, if you're not comfortable opening the case yourself take it to a reputable jeweler.
If there are no serials on the watch it is probably a knockoff or replica.

Hope this helps.

If you are talking about the bezel, which is the bit on the outside of the watch, you should contact the Raymond Weil repair centre SWICO. They repaired my Othello when half the bezel fell off. They had it back to me in no time! Their details are on the Raymond Weil website:

How do I find my serial number on my bulova watch

Serial numbers are generally on the back of the watch.

You may be able to find two or three numbers on the watch.

A case number, a movement number and a serial number.Alternatively you might find a style number (which in your case is 26B44) and a serial number.

I would not recommend any of Armani watches, as they all have very average quality Chinese or Japanese mass produced movements. Your friends watch is proof to this - it already has broken weekdays calendar part. There is no need to adjust day or date every day, as the watch is designed to do it itself, but it's not always working with those cheap movements. In fact, when buying Armani watch, you are paying for brand name and design - let alone quality. The choice is yours, of course, but for the same amount of money, I would opt out for Tissot mechanical watch. In this case you will get reputable and well known Swiss brand name, Swiss made, assembled and to Swiss standards adjusted movement. And, of course, the whole watch will be made in Switzerland, case, bracelet, dial, glass, hands and even smallest of screws inclusive. No other country can beat Swiss made watches, as their standards for watch making is the highest in the world. At the very end your Tissot watch will make your friend jealous, because you will never have such a problems like broken parts or non-functional calendar e.t.c. Timekeeping will be on the spot as well. If you will look after your watch, your grand-grand-grand-grand children will be able to enjoy it, because mechanical watches are designed to last almost forever. I'm not trying to change your mind or advertise Swiss made watches - just trying to explain what would be the best solution for the amount of money you have. One more thing - the Armani watch you are after will be out of trend in a few years time and will have no value at all, however, Swiss made watches usually have timeless designs and are always keeping very good value even after years of use. In some cases 10 or 20 years old Swiss watch costs a lot more than it was bought when brand new. Hope it helps.
