Is it plugged in? Could be the battery needs charging or it's going bad.

Paul is definitely on the right track but I would also make sure that your cable to your device is also functional to by verifying that the device vibrates or makes a noise when you plug in your charging cable or you see an indicator of sorts to verify your device is getting charged. Knowing this elevates a potential bad cable. And then if that is good like Paul said it is probably a bad battery or an intermittent connection inside your device to the battery. Especially if the device has taken a few tumbles the battery connection could have gotten loose and not making a complete connection.
