Cycle time Just moved in, started the Bosch dishwashe that appears to be less than two years old, left for one-hour and came back to find the wash cycle still going; hasn't cycled in thirty minutes since I've returned. Is this normal? What is the standard cycle time?

Yes its normal.bosch dishwashers use very little water and energy but,the cycles need to be longer to get the dishes clean. its perfectly OK.(ps use cascade powder if you can)

My 7 year old Bosch dishwasher (SHE56C) started to run for hours when set to wash on any cycle.

Do you hear it go into the drain cycle that is do you hear the drain pump run at some stage. What happens in the rinse program (short cycle)? It is likely the thermostat is not working or the water temperature is too low due to heater problems.

When I press the start button, Bosch dishwasher (model SHY56A 05UC) just keep running the motor pumping the water out of dishwasher, irrespective of: 1) the wash cycle it is on, 2) whether the door is...

what is happenig i believe and has happened to me 2 times is that the water level float that is on the left side of dishwasher is stuck.

Either remove side panel and flick lever or pull dishwasher out and tap lower portion of panel and this will cause the level to move and then see hat happens

New Bosch dishwasher mold before cycle

The Bosch is a very good dishwasher and it is very airtight. I would suggest you NOT leave the dishes inside that long, and always use the Power Scrub Plus cycle if you have it. It will get the water as hot as possible so mold does not continue to grow in the plumbing and filters.

It is NOT the dishwasher unit causing the problem.

Dishwasher starts, then won't move on from the "Empting" portion of the cycle

I am having trouble with my 5 year old Bosch. When I turn it on it is only on when the door is open. When I shut the door the computer believes it is off. I had a technician come and he tested the switch (which was fine) and said the problem must be in the computer. Then then quoted me $350 to fix it. I would rather buy the computer myself @ $120 and install it. What is your opinion?
