If the touch screen is not working a reset will not fix the problem more than likely you need a new phone.

  3. Press Reset Settings
  4. Press on any of the following to check their boxes:
    • All: Sound Profiles, Display & Light, Phone and Alarm settings will be returned to default values
    • Sound Profiles: Only sound profile settings will be returned to default values
    • Display and Light: Only display settings will be returned to default values
    • Phone: Only phone settings will be returned to default values
    • Alarms: Only alarm settings will be returned to default values
  5. Press Reset
  6. Enter the password default password is "0000", then press OK
  7. If prompted, Enter the password again to confirm then press OK
  8. Press Yes to Reset the handset's settings to the factory defaults
One note tho. if i'm not mistaken you will lose ALL data in the phone. if it's been unlocked you will have to unlock it again.
this is refered to as a hard reset. soft reset would be just to take the battery out for a few minutes. that way you would keep your data

I put a password on my samsung and i have forgotten it. it switches on up to the password screen. i have tried the unlocking code but it wont work.

Samsung S3650 Corby unlock code will not work if your screen phone still locked. You can use your Google account to unlock samsung screen password, but if you already setup it and if you never setup that account the only way to unlock your screen password is doing factory reset and this instruction can you get at your samsung manual book.

What is the default code to unlock samsung caliber i turned the phone on but i have to put in a code to open phone a 4 digit number is there a default code for that like 9999 or 7777

1.From the home screen, touch Menu
2.From the Main Menu touch Settings
3.Touch Phone Settings
4.Touch Security
5.Touch the grey box then enter the Lock code and touch OK, default lock code is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number
6.Touch Reset Phone
7.Touch Yes to confirm resetting the handset to the factory default settings
Before you reset your Samsung Caliber r860, make sure have back up the important data. Then when you finish the reset, you can transfer the data back to your device.

My touch screen is not working, what is the problem

Hi there,

Well if the touch screen of your phone is fully not working than you need to change the screen of your phone with new one, but before that you can try reset your phone to factory default settings. Try *2767*2878# or *2767*3855# codes to do a hard reset. Note. by resetting your phone you lost all the data and settings from your phone. Hope it works.....

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!
