SOURCE: lost the main key and can't find the second key.

most keys for that type of scooter are the same, (not like a house or car key) call Pride 1-800-800-8586 for replacement or any Pride dealer can help you. Also, a paper clip can jump the ignition by placing it in their to get you around temp.

SOURCE: we have a 11 month old elite traveler scooter. The...

I just fixed this problem in a Go Go Elite that was less than 6 months old. We would plug in the charger and the "charge" light would not turn on, just the "power light" I took out the battery pack (check manual for instructions), removed the cover (8 philips head screws) and checked the voltage on the two batteries. One read 4.5 volts and the other 4.7 volts. They should both read at least 11 volts, ideally 12 volts. Evidently the Pride charger will not work if it detects that the batteries are too low. So I took out one battery at a time and connected a 12 volt auto trickle charger to it for 3 hours on each battery. Checked voltages and it brought them back up to 11.5 volts. I reinstalled the battery pack and then connected the Pride charger and THEN it showed a "Charge" light. I left the pride charger on for 12 hours and it brought it up to full charge.
Advice: Don't let your batteries get too low or the factory charger will not work.

Tzora easy travel classic. Where can I get worm gear or gear motor?

Hello Kees,

Check with Ebay and amazon, Most of the time the maker of the scooter has you over a barrel, and you will need to order a whole new unit. Parts are not being sold from the drive maker, they are only interested in selling new units. for the price of a new scooter, many times you are able to get a used one that will be great for a parts vehicle.

I have a go go elite traveller plus , the battery pack will not lift off my scooter it seems to be stuck , i need to replace the batteries

The manual for this scooter is at
The closest info I can find is page 14. MOVING AND TRANSPORTING YOUR Easy Travel Elite
6.1. Moving Your Easy Travel Elite in Freewheel Mode when unfolded:
The Freewheel switch (Fig. 1/17) is used for releasing the brake and moving the Easy Travel Elite without operating the motor. Before activating, make sure your Easy Travel Elite is switched on. Turn Freewheel switch to the "freewheel" position and push or pull the Easy Travel Elite manually.
NOTE: The Freewheel mode can only be activated after the battery is in place and the power switch (Fig.9/1) is turned on. Doing otherwise will cause a fault situation indicated by rapid flashing of the Indicator light (Fig. 9/4). See section 4.2.
WARNING: The Freewheel switch should never be engaged on a slope.
CAUTION: The seat back must remain in the upright position.

They seem to assume removal is obvious, I would check any connections from battery to scooter are pulled out and that freewheel mode is not engaged.

My parents have a Go Go Elite traveler, 3 years old, all of a sudden it takes off and then it starts to hesitate and then takes off again. Please help. Can't find service center in CT.

sounds like a short circuit, check the wiring and connectors, maybe add some insulation tape to conectors and any cable showing the metal wire.

Can I buy new panels for a Go Go Elite mobility Scooter

Hi Tracy,

Yes, you can buy new shroud panels for this model in red, blue, and silver. Some of the panels, front, rear, side strip, and console, velcro on the chair and can be replaced by the end user. This is model SC54HD for the go go elite traveller plus HD 4 wheel scooter. For about $60 you can get the entire set of panels for a color change.
If I'm not mistaken some of these scooters come to our dealership with the extra panels already in the shipping box. This allows for a quick color change during dealer prep. Call around to several local dealers and see if they have extras available at no charge before purchasing new ones.

Where can I get the best price for batteries for my go-go elite traveller 17A @ 78, y.o. I have to foind the least exspensive Thanks Edward.

In my experience the cheapest batteries are not necessarily the best. The small 17 Ah batteries for this scooter should be AGM (Advanced glass mat). The less expensive batteries will last you about 6 months or more. The AGM batteries should last 1 year or more but they are more expensive. Shop around on-line and you should be able to find them locally at a good price. They are easy to replace but it requires a long #1 phillips screwdriver to get the battery box screws out. If you do it yourself or have a friend do it you will save on the labor cost which can be significant. I have seen them on-line from $34 to $179 so be sure to shop around. Hope this helps.
