SOURCE: oven burnout

The oven is controlled by an Electronic Range Control (ERC). This is the clock assembly on the range. The surface elements are powered by infinite switches and do not go through the ERC. That explains why the clock assembly is dead, your oven does not work, but your surface elements do. You need to replace the ERC. If you can provide me with a model number (located near the oven door or bottom drawer opening on most ranges, on the back of the console on some) I can determine what type of ERC you need and how much it might cost you. Post back with comments and let me know if I can be of further assistance. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Power outage - no manual so dont' know how to get oven to work

Hold down first 2 buttons with left hand and then press last button.(still holding down the first 2) This will bring up numbers 12:00 which means you can set the clock and also the oven will work.

My Westinghouse 668 wall oven won't allow me to set the time. We had a power outage and I have checked the power and it's fine now. But the display flashes between 0:00 and auto and I can't hold the two...

Does the rest of the oven work ok? Did the timer work OK before the outage? Is the oven under warranty? Was the power outage at your home only? Check with the manual to see if it addresses your problem, there may be a way to reset the system and then I would say that you would need to contact Westinghouse and explain the situation.

Wolf ovens getting err message after power outage

I had a Wolf 30F wall oven with a similar problem
after power outage. It wouldnt stop beeping with error message related
to temperature control. My solution was to turn power of at circuit
panel, then reset by pressing and holding the clear button for 5
seconds.

Also note: in my case I had to close the display
before switching the panel off. When I tried to the reset process with
the panel showing, it wouldn\'t reset.

To reset other
various parts of the control panel Instructions said:

Time-of-Day Clock

Immediately after the oven is installed, set
the 12-hour clock to the current time of day. It may need to be reset
after a prolonged power failure. The clock is visible on the control
panel during all modes. If the upper oven timer is set, the clock will
not be visible in the upper oven control panel display.

SETTING CLOCK

1) Touch CLOCK.

2) Touch number pads to
set current time of day.

3) Touch CLOCK or ENTER to start
clock.

24-HOUR CLOCK

The time-of-day clock can be
changed from a 12-hour clock to a 24-hour clock. After the clock has
been set, touch TEMPERATURE for three seconds, touch CLOCK, and then
touch ENTER. Follow the same sequence to change back to the standard
12-hour clock setting.

Fahrenheit to Celsius

The
oven can be changed from Fahrenheit (°F) temperature to Celsius
(°C).

I have a Miele H383BP-KAT oven. For some time the clock has not been able to be set. It keeps flashing 12:00 but hitting the arrows to change the time has no affect. Any help would be appreciated.

Just had the same problem with my Miele H383 oven clock. In my case the root cause happened before the power outage. It was a bad connection between the clock printed circuit board (pcb) and the main control pcb .I only discovered it when I couldn't reset the clock. So what appeared to be a serious fault after the power spike was fixed by simply moving some wires (gently).
The wires concerned are the small black loom which go from the back of the clock to the edge of the main board in the top of the oven. There are 16 of them into one connector that fits on the front edge of the main board.
To access this you need to remove the top cover immediately behind the oven control panel. There are only two screws which may have Torx heads but you will prob. get them out with a flat head screwdriver if you try hard enough .If your oven is mounted underneath worktop you probably won't need to take it out completely to do this but take care it doesn't tip or slide out.(remember there are up to 4 small wood screws, accessed by opening oven door, that secure oven to the housing).
The next step requires you to be aware that mains voltage is present around the main control board and the main rotary selector switch so keep your fingers out of this area.
With the power on press the two outer clock setting buttons (as per normal clock setting) and at the same time wiggle or manipulate the 16 wire loom coming from the back of the clock. Try it in all sorts of positions. I was lucky and had success after just a few attempts. I also removed the clock complete with the 16 wire loom and checked the continuity of each wire from main board edge connector to the clock pcb but I could not find a problem So there may be poor soldered joint on the clock pcb which makes and breaks as I move the loom around. Whatever, I am happy again and have saved a lot of cash!
p.s Have your vacuum cleaner to hand and clean the dust out the inside whilst you have the lid off. Good luck.

Oven won't turn on, had a power outage on the street 3 times today. Tried flipping the fuse, but nothing has happened. Any suggestions? Not sure which model Zanussi it is, except it is not brand new!!

The electronic clock/timer must be in manual mode for the oven to operate. When the power to the oven is cut the electronic clock/timer reverts to automatic mode when the power comes back on.

The oven trip switch was tripped last night. After I swirched the switch back on the oven won't work. The lights and the stove are both working and the gigital screen is working.

If you were using the oven at the time it is likely that a short circuit occurred in the element causing the circuit breaker to trip. After switching it back on the oven wont work. You probably need to replace the element.
The switch may have tripped for another reason. If it did when you turned the power back on the electronic clock/timer generally reverts to the auto. function. You need to set the clock/timer back to manual so that the oven will work.

The bottom oven on my zanussi zuq 875 has stopped working. No power indications of any kind.Top oven works fine. Followed instructions in manual but no power at all.ie; indicator lights, fan ,oven light....

Hello,
Have you checked that the timer clock is set and not flashing, because the rest of the cooker will work after power outage but for the main/fan oven to work the clock needs resetting.

Hope this helps.

Fisher and paykel saffron oven off auto setting

The current 2008 manual says...

Setting the clock
When first connected, or after a power failure longer than 15 seconds, ‘0.00’ and AUTO will
flash on the display. To set the clock, press the <hand> button and then the <+> and <-> buttons.
Note: Changing the time (by pressing ) will delete any automatic program.

However this had no effect whatsoever on our 2002 vintage model. Frustrated random button pushes suggested:
<timer>+<cook> (two leftmost buttons together) will switch you into time set mode where you can then adjust by the <+> and <-> buttons.
