No offence, but you have to be specific on the universal controller.
If the controller is a name brand, like RCA or PANASONIC, you can easily find codes direct from their website.
Sorry I couldn't help much, but I didn't know the controller brand.

EC means euro connector, I.E. Scart socket. For some reason there is no video signal coming out of the scart cable/out of the VCR or being displayed on the TV. Try plugging the scart plug into a different scart socket and see if that helps.

The stand is held on by four screws. Lay the tv face down on a flat surface. Cover the surface with a blanket first. Use a regular phillips screw driver. (If you have a users manual see page 7)
The screws are the set just above the stand on the back of the set. The stand will then slide out.
