SOURCE: I have a Frigidaire Affinity

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

(no promises as I do not know your particular model but it's worth carrying this out anyway!)

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

My Honeywell plug-in doorbell won't stop ringing

If your Honeywell plug-in doorbell won't stop ringing, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the batteries: If your doorbell has batteries, make sure they are properly installed and have enough power. Replace them with new ones if needed.
2. Check the ring options: Press the ring option button with the music sign and cycle through the different ring options until you find one that stops the ringing.
3. Reset the doorbell: To reset the doorbell, unplug it from the wall outlet and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in. This will allow the doorbell to reset and may solve the issue.
4. Check the chime settings: If your doorbell has multiple chime options, make sure the one that's causing the issue is not selected. You can cycle through the chime options using the settings button.
5. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, contact Honeywell customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or offer a replacement if the doorbell is defective.

My Blyss doorbell won't stop ringing. I have changed the batteries in the chime and tried various suggestions., cleaned the terminals in the bell push.Help please

If your Blyss doorbell won't stop ringing, there are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem. Here are some possible solutions:
  1. Check the wiring: The first thing to check is the wiring of your doorbell system. Make sure that all the wires are securely connected and that there are no loose or damaged wires. You can also try disconnecting the wires and then reconnecting them to see if that fixes the problem.
  2. Check the chime: If the wiring is fine, the next thing to check is the chime. Make sure that the chime is properly installed and that it is not damaged or loose. You can also try removing the chime and then reinstalling it to see if that fixes the problem.
  3. Check the bell push: If the chime is working properly, the next thing to check is the bell push. Make sure that the bell push is securely installed and that it is not damaged or loose. You can also try cleaning the terminals on the bell push to remove any dirt or debris that may be preventing it from working properly.
  4. Check the transformer: If the bell push is working properly, the next thing to check is the transformer. The transformer is a device that supplies power to your doorbell system, and if it is not working properly, it can cause your doorbell to ring continuously. Make sure that the transformer is securely installed and that it is not damaged or loose. You can also try disconnecting the transformer and then reconnecting it to see if that fixes the problem.
If none of these steps help, you may need to contact Blyss customer support for further assistance. They will be able to provide more specific troubleshooting steps based on your particular doorbell model and setup.

Camera turns off itself

This is likely because:
  1. You are using the wrong types of batteries (Alkaline, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries are recommended for digital cameras) NOTE: don't mix different types.
  2. The battery is out of charging cycles and won't retain charge. (Most rechargeable batteries can be charged only about 1000 times after which they won't hold charge)
  3. The batteries aren't 'powerful' enough. (low quality rechargeable batteries with low capacity shouldn't be used on digital cameras, Always buy batteries specialized for cameras (from camera stores or studios))
  4. The wrong battery type is selected in the camera's settings. (Most cameras let you select the type of battery you are using from it's settings. Browse through the settings and see if this is the problem)
Hope that fixed it. Good luck.
