That is very good advice! Windows 10 has been a disaster for most people who have "upgraded" to it ... which was actually a downgrade! Who were you suggesting that action to ... anyone or group in particular?

After Windows 10 update, why doesn't my computer communicate with the printer?

Suzanne, you may have to reinstall and set up the printer, again. The best place is the website of the printer manufacturer. Look for downloads, updates, or such words. This should not cost any money. Follow exactly the install directions. If still an issue remains, seek support from the techies at the printer manufacturer site, likely everyone is having the issue, and they would want to fix the issue.

How to uninstall windows 10 and install windows 7

win 10 is an os so you may need to reformat the hard drive to get it out
you will need a disc to reboot the computer and instal win 7
If you are not real sure on how to do it , first save everything you have on an external hard drive/gig stick as reformatting the hard drive deletes everything or have a computer technician do it for you
As a side note, I have been playing with the idea of upgrading to win 10 from win 7 but was hesitant to do so because of all win 10 problems appearing on this page and in a conversation with a computer technician and programmer he explained that all the problems come from the up grade process-- something like a conflict appears between the two operating systems trying to operate on the same base codes
He said that if the win 7 was removed and win 10 installed complete from the disc there are no conflict problems and the operating system works well
I suspect that you are having problems with the win 10 after the upgrade and not from a full installation so it may be worth your while to speak with a tech expert to get good advice before you run the risk of loosing all data

Just installed windows 10 from Windows 7 but I don't know if I can get 64 bit?

It depends on the processor on your motherboard. Normally an upgrade will detect it automatically.

Email keeps freezing up. have to close down and start over and get same problem. recently downloaded windows 10, did not like and switched back to windows 7HELP

If you did not have this hassle before you went to 10 and now have it after reverting to 7, you have succeeded in damaging your original win 7 installation.

Upgrading should only be done when you are having issues with newer programs that are vital to your operation. But if your computer is working fine, there is never a need for an upgrade that very often causes many initial problems. You have learned the hard way.

Cross your fingers and try to do a repair operation with your win 7 disks. Just hope that the repair operation deals with the damaged area; many times it does not and you have to reinstall from scratch.

Put Windows 7 disc in the drive and boot from it. Windows 7 install will start. Follow the steps, it's easy and you have done it before.
You may have to change boot order from BIOS to get it boot from dvd.

Computer freezes up randomly about 1x per week, can be in IE, Word, windows life mail, etc. Only way to get rid of it is by cold shut down. Also audio and video can also freeze up, this happens perhaps 3x...

Do you think computer is running hot? computer is freezing up or running slow could be a heat issue.

If it is not then try for updating the bios from dell support website - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=555&l=en&s=biz&ServiceTag=&SystemID=STUDIO1749&os=BIOSA&osl=EN

also try to find out if there is any third party software which you might installed in your computer which is not compatible.
