SOURCE: My Neptune top-loader washer,
Evidently the "OP" code indicates the lid is "open". Solution in my case: I had to replace a wire on the lid switch that a
had rusted and no longer connected to the switch resister.
There is a magnet in the left, front corner of the plastic lid insert. When the lid is closed, this magnet sets on top of the tan colored plastic pad on the left front top of the base washer unit. When the lid is closed, the magnet activates two, small metal rods on each end of a resister within the white. You have to pop up the top of the washer base to gain access to the switch, Good luck,

Thank you for coming back to me, yes I have had the problem solved today. A technician came around to my home and made a slight adjustment to the Lid and said it should never give me trouble again. It was a free service as my washing machine was brand new and it started up perfectly and went through it's full cycle with no hicups!
