How can i hook up a cordless phone to ms50 console system for hotel?

This is on the end of the hotel. Ask the front desk how does one connect to the wireless. They most likly have a username and password you have to enter in the web engine on your wii.

They have the lock system in place so you have to pay them to play the system. There wouldn't be a way that I could think of to remove the lock and not anger management at the hotel you're staying at.

On the cordless phone, go off hook, then press 53 and the line number. You'll recieve a conformation tone then be connected to the caller.

The problem is likely that your phone is not able to provide the authentication information required by the hotel management, i.e. the web page you normally fill out with name, room number, etc. when connecting to their network. Unfortunately, short of lugging around your own router to sit between the hotel network and your phone there is not a whole lot you can do about this except look for the odd hotels that don't require authentication, I believe La Quinta is an example of this.

You could always try calling their tech support number and see if they are willing to nanually open their network for your phone, if you try this be sure you have the MAC address for the phone handy, it should be printed on a sticker somewhere on the phone.

I have a YST-MS30 myself. Judging by Yamaha's site, the MS50 looks like it's built pretty much the same way. The subwoofer by itself is pretty useless. The power switch and volume controls are built into the right satellite speaker. There is a level control for the subwoofer, but overall system volume is controlled by the satellite speaker. You also need the power supply (15 volts, 1.2 amps for the MS30, but probably different ratings for the MS50 with its higher power).

Actually, it would be possible to open the subwoofer and puzzle out which pins in the connector you would need to jumper together to turn it on, and you might be able to find a suitable power supply. But it seems like more trouble than it's worth. Complete new system with comparable specs are around $100 from online vendors.

Yes, there are things you can do to clear the locked out phone.
~ The locked means something is wrong with the phone -or- wiring to the room from the Mitel system...

Locked out is like leaving your phone off hook too long, you get that irratating beeping noise, then when the beeping stops, the phone is locked out to save power going to the set.

Ok ~ the first thing I would try, go to the set and play with it, hang everything up and test to see if you can get dial tone... the next thing is change out the telephone set, and test.

If you changed out the telephone set, and there is still a trouble, there maybe a wiring issue, in which case you will require a cable tech to test connectivity...

Lock means lockout. If you've changed out the entire set to the cords, look for something in the wiring to be shorting out. You'll get that indication if you walk into a guest room and take the phone off the hook. It will alarm at the console and lock out.

you have to pay the hotel for the access usually, if you know that it is complimentary then ask the front desk for the password.

You can connect the Yamaha YST MS50 speakers to any audio source that relies on a 3.5mm jack. The YST MS50 should have two audio inputs, so you can use one of them to connect the speakers to your computer. If you don't have a 3.5mm male to male cable, then you can buy that at any electronics store or online.

We have the same problem at our hotel.
You can't fix it at the console, you need to go to the room and unplug the guest's phone from the wall for 10 seconds... reconnect and it is fixed.
