My Laptop wont start properly. It just starts, shows Toshiba The leading Innovation message and goes off. I then get a blank screen with a cursor at the top left hand corner. Power cable is working,...

This could be a failed hard drive. As soon as you turn on the computer, go into BIOS (I think you hit the F2 key on Toshiba systems) and check the list of IDE or SATA devices. If you do not see a hard drive model number there, that is your problem.

If you do see a hard drive, you may be able to get it to work with a System Recovery CD. It may have been corrupted by a virus or power failure during a write operation.

My toshiba satellite model number pslbu8u-0kc045 is freezing on the toshiba leading innovation screen

You seem to have a hardware problem.First, try using your RAM chips 1 at a time in the first slot and see what happens.
Otherwise it's likely a CPU or MB issue.
For good or bad, please rate my post?

How doI reset my Toshiba Laptop with Vista 64 bit to factory settings?

There are two ways to reset your Toshiba Laptop to factory settings.
First is using Recovery Media Disc and the second is the hidden partition on your hard drive.

If you're going to use Recovery Media Disc follow these steps:

If you have two or more recovery media disc try to insert first the disc that has a label of 1 of 2 or 1 of 3. Then turn of your laptop.
Make sure that the disc is inside. After that try to find the letter "C" key on your keyboard. Now turn on your laptop and keep tapping the letter "C" key. If you have successfully accessed the Boot Menu choose Toshiba Recovery Wizard.
After choosing the Toshiba Recovery Wizard there will be a big warning screen that will appear choose the option yes and after that you will have a series of option. Remember to choose always the first option after the big warning screen appears.

That's it. You will have a message that the Windows is initializing files.
That process will take 1-2 hours for it to finish.

Hidden Partition on the Hard Drive.

Turn on the laptop and as soon as the laptop turns on press and hold down the number 0 key (the number 0 it should be on the top of the keyboard beside the number 9 key) keep 0 pressed until Toshiba leading innovation appears. Usually you will have a beeping sound when you are trying to access the System Recovery of the Hard Drive. That's an indication that you have successfully accessed the Systrem Recovery of the laptop.
Wait for the screen that say Windows is loading files.
After that you will see a big warning screen the choose yes and
Choose 1st option always.
Cx able to initialize the partition.
Disconnect cables and turn off the wireless switch.
Recovery would take 1-2 hours for it to finish.

When i turn on laptop the toshiba leading innovation comes on then the screen goes black/darkblue then nothing

first you have to do is entering bios by pressing "F2" or "del" tab, check the primary bios setup is your hardrive detected or not, if it is detected then go on...
second, still from the bios, configure the boot priority, mark harddrive as the first primary booting...
if it is not work, then u have lost OS, could be infected by virus or some missing program..
in the case u have to reinstall/format your OS

Does Not Turn On

First thing you're gonna want to try is reseating the memory.

Second, see if you can get into the bios by pressing F2, F10, DEL key it depends see if you see something on the screen, sometimes pressing ESC does it. It all depends.

Try that first and let me know what happens.
