Sounds like it may be a "Blessing" trumpet.
"Blessing" made a "B127 Scholastic Series Student Bb" trumpet in silver. They also made a BTR-1277 student series.

Wanting to know when my cornet was made serial number 410541 and what it may be worth

You will have to look up the make and model of this and then input the serial number. Music stores would be happy to help you with this as well. Determine whether is a pro model or a student model first. Knowing nothing about this age or model wise I am going to say it is worth 200.00 dollars in very nice dents, nice finish.

I have a solid silver selmer flute with gold lip plate, serial no. 3786. I cant find the date of manufacture. It is in pristine condition. Can you tell me the date?

Hi Erica.

Conn/Selmer has a web page with dating for a number of their affiliate instruments, though it doesn't look to be complete.
Serial Numbers If it was lumped in with the Conn 'Reed Mouthpiece' Instruments (as opposed to cup mouthpiece, which I'd think of as more 'brass', then it'd look to be 1899. The Artley Flute list starts with a serial # of 10000 in 1952. There appear to be other people out there having difficulty using their charts, and the Customer service page on the website is mum about contacting them directly, and suggests calling a nearby dealer. The dealer page is at
Dealer Locator Conn Selmer Inc

The description makes it sound like an Omega Model, see for instance

Hoping that helps.., and Happy Holidays

Are there any other Yamaha model trumpets that the valves are interchangeable with the Yamaha YTR232?

Any Bb trumpet made by Yamaha should have valves that are interchangeable. A few models that might do it are:

These are all in the same tuning as yours, so the valves should fit without any problems. The S at the end of some models denotes a silver finish.

Hope that helps!

Musical instrument, Holton & Co. Cornet serial # 192673

You might find help here: According to this site: your cornet was made between 1948 to 1949. Where it was manufactured will have some bearing on its worth but the bottom line is always the condition especially of the valves and tuining slides. Hope this helps.
