>on your iPod screen, go to Settings
>and once the Settings window opens, you'll find the Airplane Mode on the top of it. Now, just tap on the switched button beside it to turn it ON or OFF.

SOURCE: I have droid phone. Says
1. Press and Hold the Power button for 2 Seconds. A menu pops up. On that list, you will see "Airplane Mode" (under which should state "Airplane mode is ON").
2. Now tap "Airplane Mode" to switch it Off. If you press the power button again after a few seconds, it should now say "Airplane Mode is OFF". This is how you want to leave it. Done.

Try FN + a button that looks like signal lines, the WiFi button basically, it should turn off aeroplane mode, I assume you're using Windows 8. You can also turn it off by pressing Windows Key + C at the same time to bring up the charms menu (the menu that appears on the right) press settings, click on the wireless section, turn off aeroplane mode at the top.
