Question about Cell Phones

Open Question

My LG3200 freezes up at the Telus screen. The screen is initially bright and then dims, I assume due to 'inactivity'. This happened once before. I had to remove the battery to get it to respond again. Now it doesn't seem to matter what I do. Is there anything I can do about it? Maybe some kind of hard reset? Thanks

SONY VAIO PCG-61611l has a very dim screen

Normally, this is in part due to you not replacing it with what should've been an LCD. The reason why it's dim is because those diodes are not getting the required voltage to emit as it should. LCD's work under a different concept where crystals use the light modulating properties of liquid crystals. Liquid crystals do not emit light directly as LED's, because it stand for light emitting diodes.

Windows XP The screen dims when the laptop is plugged in. Once the cord is removed the screen goes back to the normal brightness.

This is due to the power setting on your laptop.

You can right click on the battery (if its unplugged) or the power cable (if its plugged in) in the bottom right hand system tray by the clock.

Go to Power Settings.

You can change this under the power settings option.

Curve 8520, I've had an intermittent problem that the trackpad will not scroll. I can still use it as a button, and get in to perform most tasks with the keyboard, but I can not scroll through icons. ...

I'm afraid the track pad has to be replaced. It goes to full bright from dim screen when you touch it. that's because it sense the touch.but can't sense the direction(scrolling).

But, before that, see if a master reset works. Backup everything before that though

I know you can that you can change this by simply hooking up a scan tool for specific year. There are language options accessible for situations like this. Here is a sample of what can be changed using VAG 5052 or equivalent scanners.

Dell inspiron 5160 is dim.

This problem can also be due to the corruption of display drivers// assuming that you have checked the contrast and brightness do this step:- goto device manager// click on the display adaptar + sign and on the pop-up driver right click and select uninstall//
once the driver is uninstalled then restart the computer and check//
if that doesnot work then you can also upgrage the grafic card by going to the web site// even if this doesnot work then 100% the problem is with the notebook screen// contact best buy or wallmart or the retail store from where you have bought the notebook//

Screen troubles

I assume you are running it under normal power supply (mains)?
Try checking your display settings, they may be set st a lower brightness level. As you switch on the computer it is taking a few seconds to catch up and dim down once the settings kick in.

Monitor is too bright

Lcd monitors do not go overbright due to aging, they may go dim due to backlight aging.Do front panel controls work and if so what happens when you try to bring down brightness?
Some monitors have a "Recall" function which is a factory restore bringing all setting to factory value.
Try this if available.

Too bright

I just bought an Acer 19 inch this morning and I am assuming you have the same controls on the bottom of monitor. On mine I push the menu button twice....the left arrow once to select the brightness slider.....push the menu button again to turn slider red and active...then use your left or right arrows to adjust brightness...afterwards you use the menu to get you back to the exit button and that's it....I hope Don
