I hooked up my Pioneer DVD-5000 to my Amp and all I did was hook up the Remote Wire to the Amp and when I turned on my care my deck doesn't light up or work any more? Did I fry my deck? Can I fix it? What happend?

Is it possible to fry the Deck? I can't seem to get it to work but it may be something to do with the wiring and not the deck but it worked before I hooked up the amp and afterwards it stopped working. I looked at the fuse that was coming from off of the power supply and it appeared to be fine but I will get a new one tomorrow and see what happens.

Sounds like a connection is wrong and if it shorted it prob blew the fuse for the radio. Disconnect the radio from the amp then pull the connecter out of the radio and check the ten amp fuse...

I put a Pioneer AVH 1400 DVD in 06 solstice have it hooked up working but no sound through speakers I have hot ground remote and speaker wires hooked up what other wires have to be hooked up 4 sound

If the car had an amplified sound system prior to removal you will need to turn on the factory amp. You need to hook up the blue wire with the white stripe. You may have a dedicated wire that you need to hook it to or you may have to hook it directly to the 2 blue wires for the power antenna. Now you may not have a power antenna but hook them up anyway. If that doesnt work you have a dedicated amp turn on wire. If you find that and it still doesnt work check your fuses for the amplifier with a digital multimeter. Replace any blown fuses that you cant find

Hooked up my amp it has power but power light won't come on won't power up front speakers work and have sound but it doesn't move to back

Make sure the remote wire is hooked up. You can run a small wire from the power terminal to the remote terminal. If it powers up, then you have a remote wire problem. You can run a remote wire from the blue power antennae wire of the deck.

My subwoofers will not play

go into the menu screen on the pioneer unit and go to setting if you have a loud function there turn it on.... if that doesn't activate the amp ...(did you hook up the blue wire from pioneer deck to amp and run it threw the car to the amp)..if no than your pioneer deck does not realize there is an amp present in system....... if yes scroll threw menu till you see audio look for Sub Woofer or Amp you may even have a button on pioneer deck marked SW go press it and turn amp to on this will provide signal from pioneer unit to amp if this doesn't work other thing could be you hooked RCA to AUX input (but if you have a SW for RCA plugs on back of unit make sure the RCA wires are in it) the loud or SW button should activate it (if there is only F and R for RCA plugs on back of unit use R hope this helps)

I cant get my subwoofer system to work

Do you use a amplifier to power the subs? If so, the amp needs a signal to turn on. This is supplied by the blue/white wire labeled 'system remote' in pioneer radio's.

Amp cd proble3m

i'm not entirely sure but i think that your only supposed to have the blue remote wire hooked up. but like i said i'm not sure. i hooked my amp up and somehow my remote wire shorted and fried my ignition switch so don't hold me to it, but maybe look into it. I think that you might have a constand power hooked up to a switched power cable for your amp so haveing the constant power to your amp, asied from your 12v at the battery, your amp might not even know when your car is on or off. hope this helps sorry for the open ender

The system remote control is usually a blue wire on your decks harness and it is for an amplifier for a sub or other speakers. It sends power to the subs amp when the deck is turned on. You may need to find the wires coming off the antenna and splice them into the red power switching wire 12v on you decks wire harness. Good luck
