Canon MG 3540 - printer error/status Set up incomplete due to metered connection - will not print How do I fix and print

The constant orange light is the standby indicator. Do you have the correct driver for this model? Did you select the correct printer from the list of printing devices.

In Windows, often after installing a printer driver and software you'll notice more than one printer installed. But only one has a green check mark beside it (set as default device). If that is the one you want to use, then when printing make sure you select it. If you select another and it isn't set as the default device it won't print until it is set as the new default.

Generally from Windows if you're going to need to print something, after clicking the, "Print", button from the program you want to print from, it will open the print dialogue. Make sure the default active printer is set. Most printers come with software to access other functions. Some functions include status query and a cleaning print head option as well as print sample image/text.

For Mac's a similar procedure only there is no option to select from a variety of printers. If there is a printer installed, Mac's will try to send to that device only.

This error code normally indicates a print-head failure. Since this machine has the print-heads built into the disposable cartridges, the first thing to try is new or different cartridges to see if the error message goes away or changes. If not, the problem may be a failed electronic component on the control board and if you are out of warrantee, then it will not be worth repairing.

My printer wont print

1. check if the printer is connected to the PC.
2. see if the status on the print manager of the printer is not set to "offline" --- just do a right click on the printer icon under printers.
3. see if you have the updated print drivers from the canon website or windows update.
4. check if there are any print jobs spooling that are on error mode. either clear them up (delete) or try restarting them.
5. reboot your PC and try again. :)

I have a canon MG5420 that is copying double lines that seems isolated to the PGBK cartridge. Black copies are fuzzy but color copies seem okay. Scanned images reproduce fine, just black copies are the issue. I have a couple of scanned examples of the problem that I can send.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Right click it , then select "use printer online".

For your ip2700, even if you reset your refilled cartridge, they are not going to be usable.
After 4~5 times of color refill, you will see e5 error that cartridge is not readable anymore.

So you need to replace your cartridge with new one somehow.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
