SOURCE: I have SIM card slot

If you don't have the 3G card installed in your laptop, you won't have access to any cell network.
In that case, the sim slot is just a dummy slot.

Go to settings and enable your wifi. It doesn't sound like it was unlocked properly or you haven't activated your new SIM cards carrier( Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile,etc.) good luck

How do I connect my Internet too it?

You mean you want to connect yur phone to internet?Do check the manual settings.Internet connection can be done through Wifi or mobile data.If you are trying through Wifi..switch ON the Wifi in your phone and it will automatically detect the nearby WiFi the one that you desire and provide the necessary password authentication if will be directly connected to the internet.

No sim card installed

The SIM tray near the battery allows you to connect to Internet or Dial. Sometime the Laptop/Netbook doesn't allow you to access your laptop/netbook. I suggest reseting your laptop will help you.

What is the sim card slot under the battery for?

it's for 3G cellphone-type internet -- WWAN is Wireless Wide Area Network ? (as opposed to WLAN which is wifi). it is so you can use mobile data on your notebook, a.k.a. use the internet anywhere you want. I believe you have to sign up a sim card with your phone service and they'll charge you that way.

What is WWAN in my computer that has a sim slot? Is it can be use to connect to the internet ?

If your WWAN has a sim slot that means you can sign up with a provider such as Bell, Rogers, Verizon etc, to get mobile internet. The data plans are usually a bit of a rip off so I don't recommend it unless you really need to be remote a lot (where you can't get a wifi connection via DSL or cable)
