SOURCE: How to remove front panel of dryer

Be sure to unplug the machine from the mains,

1.-Remove the top cover of the machine, very straight forward.
2.-Unclip the universal coupling from the main timer to the back of the knob.
3.- The whole knob assembly is held in place by a backing plate.
4.- There are 2 clips at the top of this backing plate raise them and the backing plate and knob can be pulled out.
5.- there is a plastic clips but be careful not to break it.

Your ffeed back and ratting are so important for me. thank you

Was this helpful?

The knob breaks when it has been turned in the wrong direction several times. It's a safety device so as not to damage the main timer.

SOURCE: how to remove the front panel of a maytag neptune gas dryer

Removal of the front panel requires the removal of the top cover and the console. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Remove the 2 screws attaching the top cover to the rear of the dryer then slide it rearward to clear the screw head from the top cover flange and lift the cover off the dryer cabinet.

Remove the screws securing the heater PCB board and disconnect the black and white wiring harness connectors from the board.

Remove the four screws attaching the console to the washer cabinet and rotate the console down to remove it from the dryer.

Remove the four screws attaching the top of the front panel to the cabinet and the two screws at the bottom of the door opening.

Pull the front panel forward and disconnect the interior light wiring harness then lift the front panel off the tabs across the bottom and move it away from the dryer.

Reinstall the front panel, the console, and the top cover in reverse of the removal steps.

Bosch 500 series new dryer has locked up. Key showing on panel, door opens, but you press every button and get the same beep.

Hi dear.
Regarding your information, I would say Child lock has been activated. I do not know what model or serial number of your dryer but you need to refer your machine's user manual or contact Bosch for deactivate child lock. I hope that helps. Thanks.

We have a bosch front load stackable dryer that has coins stuck in the things that go around in the dryer, can we get them out?

You'll have to remove the top panel so you can loosen the baffles and get your coins out. Either that or take the back panel off and remove the drum altogether, which ever you find easier.

How do you remove the front panel where door is located

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

I wouldn't do that...there is nothing or very little which can be serviced from the front. ( aside from the door itself and control panel of course ) all service on the WTMC Bosch is done from the back.

**Unplug the unit from the wall before attempting ANY service...safety first**

i.e.

Remove the top...

Then with the top off, remove the back panel...

macmarkus_320.jpg
Once that has been removed, you'll need to remove the rear drum support & drum.

i.e.

macmarkus_323.jpg
Then you can pull the drum assembly out...Now you should see the front of the unit and components, drum rollers, motor, etc.

i.e.

Hope that helps you identify and access what it is you're after for your Bosch WTMC dryer, good luck.

Let me know how you make out or if you have further questions of course, I will help you move further in whatever manner I can.

Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

I have a Bosch nextt 500 series dryer and after 2 years of use the problem I have is the heat will shut off and the dryer will keep running and I have to press the reset button on the backside of the dryer

Open the front panel, remove heat exchanger and clean. also clean out lint tray. this might help a little. Now lets check if the thermal sensor or heating element needs to be replaced.
Unplug the dryer. remove the panel in the back of the dryer that covers the heating element. ( the inner panel). On top of the heating element you will see a thermal sensor with a small red button on it. Thats the manual reset button. To test if the heating element is working properly you can disconnect the wires from the sensor and clip the connectors together . Plug the dryer back in and start it. pay attention to the heating element. It should begin to glow shortly. if it doesn't then your heating element is bad and needs to be replaced.

Unplug the dryer. Connect the wires back to the thermal sensor. Plug the dryer back in. Before you start the dryer, press the red button on the thermal sensor. Start the dryer. If the heating element doesn't come on and dryer doesn't heat, then you need to replace that sensor.
