DCER INDISPLAY

This error usually means that your receiver has detected a wiring problem. It has shut down to protect the electronics in the unit. Somewhere, there is a section of wire that has damaged insulation or has come loose. Two wires are in direct contact with each other or a wire is touching the metal of the car.

You'll need to locate the damaged wiring and insulate it or otherwise repair it. After you fix the wiring, you may need to press the Reset button to clear the error. (The location may vary. For most Kenwood receivers, the Reset button is a very small button below and towards the left side of the volume knob.)

If you post the model and manufacturer of the audio receiver, I may be able to give additional information. If the error persists after you fix the wiring, your receiver may have been damaged. In that case, the unit needs professionally repaired.

I hope this helps.

HP All-In-One can send but cannot receive fax or can receive but cannot send

One of the most common problems with HP All-in-One Printers is that they can send out fax but cannot receive or they can receive fax but cannot send. Now, what more could possibly be the problem if you are sure that your connection cables are correct and properly setup? Well, most people don't know that this is more often than not, caused by the ECM feature of the fax.

ECM or Error Correction Mode is used by fax machines during transmission. This feature is used to eliminate transmission problems especially when you have a "dirty" or noisy telephone line or a very poor signal can result to fax failures. ECM mode, when is turned ON is supposed to check for errors and glitches and is supposed to make the reception or transmission of faxes come out successfully.

However, for some reasons, the ECM mode is not supposed to be performing well with its feature. Especially if the user has a problem with the telephone line, the more that they cannot receive or transmit a fax. It is then recommended that your HP All-In-One printer's ECM fax settings be turned OFF. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. On your printers front control panel, press the button with the wrench symbol; this is the Setup button.
2. Press the right > or left < arrow until you see Advanced Fax Setup then press OK.
3. Press the right > or left < arrow until you see Error Correction Mode; again press OK.
4. Press the right > or left < arrow until to select Error Correction Mode OFF. Press OK to confirm.

That's it! You may now try to send out a fax or ask a friend to send you one.

The printer may be faulty. I suggest you return it to the supplier to have it fixed or replaced under warranty. If you try to fix it yourself you may void your warranty.

I am receiving an error msg on my Panansic, Panafax UF-333 machine. The msg is a code=316, error msg. What does that mean and how can I fix it?

Unplug the machine and move the ink cartridge to the all the way to the left.

Take a letter opener and knock off the column of dried ink that has built up where the cartridge was sitting.

If this does not fix it, the main board is defective.

Xerox Workcentre Pro 215

This should resolve that fault code

NOTE: Some Status codes will not clear even though the problem has been fixed. Status codes that will not clear must be manually reset using the 'Fault Reset 14 Procedure'.
  1. Locate the [C] (Clear) button on the Control Panel, at the far right.
  2. Locate the Image Quality button, below the Auto on the Control Panel, toward the left side.
  3. Press the buttons in the following sequence within 4 seconds. Press [C] (Clear), press [Image Quality], press [C] (Clear) again, press [Image Quality] again.
  4. The error code should disappear. If the Status code does not clear, repeat step 3 until the status code clears; but no more than five times.
  5. Use the [10] and [1] buttons to enter 14 on the Display Screen, as if you were to make 14 copies.
  6. Press the [Start] button. The machine should be ready to use.
  7. Make a copy, to check that the machine is working properly

No Analogue or digital channels!

Hello - I just posted something too. Not sure if its the same problem as yours. If you get a response from elsewhere, please let me know. I'll do the same. In our case we have a blank screen with a bar running across the top of the screen reading 'No signal' on left side and 'C611' on the right side. The 611 might be the last channel we were on !
