Bone-in chicken requires slightly more time to cook than boneless cuts. The average time to deep fry wingdings is around four minutes. Whole wings take about 10 minutes, and thighs and legs require 12 minutes. Bring chicken to room temperature before cooking to use these time estimates; along with following times for cooking, watch for the color of the chicken's breading to develop a deep brown color. Fry chicken in a high smoking point oil heated to 350 degrees F and remove pieces as they become golden brown and float. Check internal temperature using a kitchen thermometer to ensure doneness; internal temperature should register at 165 F.

How do I remove the over salty already cooked fryed chicken I just cooked


It sounds like this is pertaining to the chicken itself not the fryer, so I hope this helps:

If your chicken is too salty, the only way to save it may be to remove the skin and saute it in something else with no added salt. Perhaps tomato sauce with a bit of sugar in it to cut the tartness?

If you still want to keep the chicken as is you could make a quick gravy. I found this online:

"In the skillet you cooked the chicken in, pour off all but about 3 T. of drippings. Add about 1/3 c. flour. Stir in the drippings until it starts to brown. Add milk/water mixture, a little at a time (about 3 c. total) to make a smooth gravy. Don't add any salt. Add the chicken to the gravy and turn down to simmer, as low as it will go, and let it cook in the gravy for about 45 min. Stir occasionally. The chicken will be falling off the bone but that is O.K.
Serve with mashed potatoes that also do not have any salt."

How long do you cook chicken. Does the green light need to come on before you start frying?

For deep-fried chicken, preheat oil to 360 degrees F. Bread and then fry for 20 minutes or until golden brown and done.

The surest way is to check the internal temperature of the thickest portion using a tip sensitive digital thermometer. The internal temperature of chicken should reach 165 degrees F.

I purchased a deep fryer from Wall mart today and there were not any instrutions in the box. Will you please mail me a set of instrutions so I will know the tempatures that I will need to cook the...

But as a rule of thumb
potatoes (any type 375%)
chicken and fish 325% to 350%
In most cases when deep frying...when it floats its done! should be a golden brown....fill oil to top of fill line

Do not know how to use


Oil darkens with use the oil food molecules burn when subjected to high prolonged heat.
When frying foods such as fish or chicken use the oil once.

Do not filter oil over to reuse. Storing the oil in the refrigerator may extend the life of the oil, this should not be done ever. This process of chilling the oil and then burning the oil to room temperature causes excessive splattering furing the heat up.

Storing the covered oil in a cool dark place, for up to three months. ( remember to check oil when you use for color, smell, or excessive foaming. Throw out if there is signs of all the above.

This unit has a warranty for one year from the day of purchase.


Cooking:

When starting let unit reheat 7-10 minutes. This will get the heat to desired temperature. Re4ady light will cycle on/off during frying as temperature fluctuates due to food load.
Types of foods cooking: temperatures and time of cooking

Chicken strips 375 F. 5-8 minutes

Chicken pieces, bone-in 375 F. 15-20 minutes

Fish, battered 340 F. 8-10 minutes

French fries, frozen 375F. 3-5 minutes

F375F. 3-5 minutes

Onion rings 375 F. 3-5 minutes

Shrimp, breaded 375 F. 2-5 minutes
When frying frozen food if iced rub off lose as this can make the temperature of oil cool down. Pre-cooked frozen food cooks faster and does not come out oily.


I cannot wait to start cooking in mine as I got it for a christmas gift. Great recipes in the owners manual:
