Virtual Memory too low Warning Trouble in win xp and vista

When there is less physical memory than needed, then some virtual memory (virtual RAM) is created on the disk. When there is a limit set to the size of virtual memory usage and there is not enough of it present there is a warning that frequently comes "Virtual Memory too low". Solution 1 : This problem occurs when physical RAM + Virtual RAM (usually created on hard disk) together are not sufficient to take care of the currently needed RAM size, or this situation is about to arise. This usually happens when some fixed upper limit for Virtual Memory has been set. To solve this problem, you can either upgrade you physical RAM on your computer (recommended), or you can set the Virtual Memory to system managed size or you can do both. Setting Virtual Memory to system managed size means windows will set it to higher size whenever needed automatically, for this,
Right click on My computer --> goto properties, goto advanced tab, click on performance settings, now click on advanced, now click on advanced, now click on change button for Virtual memory.
On this screen select the System managed size, press OK. After this re-start your computer. This will solve the virtual memory too low problem. Solution 2: Recommended solution is to upgrade your physical memory (RAM) according to requirements of the kind of applications that you run on your computer. If you upgrade RAM or not, the following procedure will help prevent this warning by increasing the virtual memory limit.
Right click on My computer icon and click properties.
This will show system properties window. Click on a advanced tab and click on the settings button under heading performance. This will open performance options window. Click on advanced tab and click on change button under heading virtual memory. Check if the space available is set to some custom value or double the RAM size ? If it is not double the RAM memory size , then select the size option set the virtual memory size double the RAM Size and press set button and press OK button. Restart the computer

How do I fix the resolution it is was to big

if you are in Xp right click on the desk top. go to Proporties, goto Settings, use the slide to adjust the screen size of the pixel resolution you want. click apply.

the smaller the number the bigger the font. so an 800 x 600 is huge where as a 1920 x 1080 is small. (you can have different resolutions it doesnt matter your screen size physically)

Can only get "4:3" and "compressed 16:9" screen format. Want full "16:9" not compressed. How?

HDTV ready means that it will process HDTV signal to be viewed on you set. The size of your screen is still in a 4:3 ratio. Unless you have a true 16:9 size sceen you cannot get the full 16:9 picture. The actual physical size of the sceen is what makes TV's true HD or not. In other words, the screen has to be twice as wide as it is tall or 16:9. Your screen is almost square or 4:3. It can only show a compressed version of the 16:9. Thanks for using fixya.

How do I expand my Tv screen

If the physical size of your screen is 4:3 the only thing it can show is a compressed version. The screen is physically not able to show the true 16:9 version. The true 16:9 HD signal has been developed to show on a screen that is twice as wide as it is long or 16:9 ratio. Your screen is almost square or 4:3 ratio. I hope this helps. Thanks for using fixya.

Display size / resolution

Hi thanks for this but no to no avail. There is nothing wrong with the display itself - everything works but the problem is that the VIRTUAL size of the screen is 1500 x 950 instead of 1440 x 900 if you get my meaning. I wish i could find a way to shrink back the virtual screen size to 1440 x 900 so that it fits the exact physical screen. ie. if i was to play a DVD on full screen i would only see 95% of the picture because the virtual screen is larger than the display. And the virtual screen would move right if I shifted my mouse to the right edge. Still puzzled.
