My mom locked it ...I googled to unlock it...then everything that could show up was visible. I tried reset..I know how to program it but nothing. Maybe ishe messed with it so much it's broken. What do you think?

Possible. Remove batteries and remove face plate from wall. Then replace batteries and put back up. If screen is still completely lit up its bad. If you need cooling turn power off to ac and put red green and yellow wires together and turn power back on. Heating, put red green and white together and turn power on. This will make it work but you will have to turn it off at breaker, at least until you get new tstat. Good Luck!!

Google lux pro pdfs. There's another reset with the hold button and reset button on the circuit board that might work.

Thermotast WX PSP511LCa says Change filter? What does it mean??

The thermostat records how long the blower motor in the furnace runs for and after a certain number of hours it displays the message to change the filters in the furnace. When you change them then you reset the thermostat. http://www.luxproproducts.com/pdfs/PSP511LCa_NL_ENG_Manual1.pdf

How do I deleate the change filter light?

My model is the psp511lca but it may be the same type of reset. I have a dial I turn to the "change filter" option and then press the up and down temperature buttons simultaneously and hold for a few seconds. When you turn the dial back to "run" the change filter light on the display is gone.

What filter is in the thermostat

When the change filter indicator comes on, it is referring to the filter in your furnace. The thermostat itself does not have a filter.
