General answer for all electric stoves: Electric stoves are usually 220V in the USA. The clock is 120V. My first "guess" is that you have 120v to your clock and maybe light if the stove has one. You should have a separate 220v power cable ( see photo attached) that will power the range itself. The cord may be missing ( simple to unbolt), the cord my be unplugged, or the 220 circuit may be turned off at the fuse box or circuit breaker.
I have an old Admiral gas stove and the same happened to me because the stove was not liting properly. The electric ignition may glow, but may be worn and not build up the proper resistance to open the gas valve. It can be checked for resistance with a multimeter. I found more help with this on repairclinic.com
This may be due to a bad main clock/electronic control but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.
that is a part number to the clock assy, assuming you have 110v to L1 on back of the clock and no display , that s a preyty safe bet youll need to replace that clock assy
first thing is to check you r circuit breaker,is it an electric range ??? or a gas stove with electronic iginiton???, if its a full electric range then youll have a double breaker powering your unit, and its possible that one of the breakers tripped, allowing only half power to the unit.if its a gas with electronic igniton then slightly different matter and then i would ask of the top elemnts will light with match and perhaps theres an issue with the electronic spark switch
you have an electric problem that it can be from lightening or replace the clock. so u must be sure that gas valve working mostly it must be 24 volt . if u haven't electricity on gas valve check the high limit switch if there is a combination u must change valve
