SOURCE: Low salt light

try stirring the water in the salt container. however, as long as you renew the salt now and again, it doesn't matter

SOURCE: low flow

If your pool has a skimmer system there is a hose from the bottom of the skimmer going to the suction port that goes through the pool wall. Disconnect the hose off of the blue adapter and unscrew the blue adapter there is a screen / strainer right there whatever gets pass the skimmer basket gets plugged up in that screen.

SOURCE: I have a 12,000 gallon

any thing over 3500 can create alarms.

First of all make sure you are useing a test kit for salt that reads in #'s not color

your system can read low salt when it is high or even high can read low
The system only really knows something is wrong

your 7800ppm is ridiculously high

Now start draining 20% of your water at a time and refilling giving the system at least 6 hours of just filtering between drainings until you get to as close to 3000ppm as possible

under 2700ppm and you will not produce enough chlorine and can trigger alarms any higher than 3500ppm and you can trigger alarms,go cloudy, and not to mention corode any metal parts like an aluminum ladder

once you get the ppm to 3000 clean your cell one last time and you should be good to go

I would also check your water for metals since you used well water.
you may need to get a metal reducer to add to the pool

SOURCE: My high salt light keeps

The only fix for this is to remove some salt. You do this by removing some of the water. Without the benefit of a proper test kit, it is difficult to tell you how much water to remove ... I would suggest you drop the level 8 to 12 inches, add fresh water and see what happens. If the salt is still too high, wait a day and remove another 8 to 12 inches.

SOURCE: low salt light comes on again even after I clean

You can research forums on how to open and adjust the resisters inside to remove the service light.. I read some and probably will not attemp... Right now, Wal-mart (on line only) is selling the 8110 unit for $149.00 with a free $50.00 gift card.. That's like paying $99.00. I'm buying one for spare!! I'm pretty good with electronics, but will not attemp on this unit... Good luck!!

Low salt alert. Add salt turn back on and then says high salt. Wait till evening try again says low salt again. Already cleaned copper and salt cell. What's wrong.

for starters, the default 'something is wrong' will turn on the salt light. never add salt until you do a manual test. once you determine that the salt level is right for your system (in range) you might find that the cell itself may be the problem

Why does my low salt light stays on

might be a sensor failure id try giving it a high dose of salt water direct to the intake of system (not the entire pool)
see if light temp goes out , then ya know sensor thinks you dont have enough salt in pool

My low salt light on my Hurlcon vx7t salt chlorinator keeps comming on.How do i adjust it?

A low salt level warning is indicated on your VX Chlorinator if the salt level drops. If Low Salt is indicated, check again in 24 hours and then if it is still indicated, add two 25kg bags of salt to the shallow end of your pool. Run the filtration system for approx. 6 hours to help mix the salt in the pool. It can take up to a day for the salt to fully dissolve.
If the low salt light is still on, then you should get your pool water tested. If the Salinity is above 4000ppm then you may need to have your Chlorinator checked.
Warning: Some people recommend that you put salt directly in the skimmer box. This is a very bad practice as it allows very high concentrations of salt to be passed through your filtration and other pool equipment.
Hope this helps.

My pump keeps reading low salt it will run fine for about 2 to 3 hrs then the low salt alarm goes off. I have put in approx 240 lbs of salt I have at 16' x 48" pool. Please help

Your unit is malfunctioning...your pool @ ~5200 gallons, even from a no-salt in the water start-up should only need ~140 lbs. Are you certain it is reading low salt and not high salt or simply salt error? You can try diluting the water to get the salt levels below 3600, otherwise you need the unit serviced or replaced...generally with an intex, if that is what you have, it will mean replaced.

Hello,
the amount of salt that they reccomend in the book is just a starting point
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors
Get your pool to as close to 3000ppm as possible
lower than 2800ppm and you will not produce enough chlorine
any higher than 3500ppm and you can trigger high salt alarm, have bad tasting water, or even get cloudy water
Like you have done, when adding salt , filter only for 6 hours or so to fully disolve

DuoClear 20 can't get salt light to go out unless

I have a Duoclear 25 for 3 years now. The unit has been nothing but trouble. I too have a low salt light even when the pool is tested at 4500ppm. 4500ppm for our taste is too high. The main board has been replaced for erroneous errors and now one year later the salt cell generator is non functional. The quality is poor. Furthermore most pool stores don't even know how the nature 2 works and alwasy recommend chemicals that are harmful. The company Clearwater has poor customer service.

Low salt indicator

high concentration? Salt is salt except for the fact in aq pool you want 98% pure and it must not be iodized salt
Also before generating salt with the timer you must have the right amount of salt
the #'s in the manual are just guidelines
get a salt test kit and get your pool to 3000ppm you need to filter only 24 hours or so getting to the 3000ppm wheather you ad salt or need to drain water and ad fresh none the less get it to 3000ppm
Now worry about your chlorine level if it is to high leave alone until it comes down if too low then run the generator for a few hours if it does not show on the scale at all try 4-6 hours
you will get a knack for the amount of time you need for your chlorine situation

if once all of this is set right and you still get high reading on salt unit take it apart as directed and spray it out with the garden hose
it is really simple only 4 screws
