any fuses in the system
might need a volt meter to test all the wires voltages and resistance between battery and throttle

info says comes with two batteries
ouch the w/55AH Batteries are about $250
are both batteries holding full charge

Have the controller module checked. You can also download the service manual from Pride's website. It has a lot of information in it as well as a complete wiring diagram.

Is this the Pride Colt XL 8 scooter ? if so look at the steering column, there is a fuse here for the charger ?

The battery it is dying and it dead and the core of the battery it self can't retain enough the of charge of the electricities for to the battery to move the scooter.Change to a brand new battery ur scooter should work fine.

if the scooter was working when it went in, then it should just be a matter of changing the batteries. (always change both batteries together). if they are saying there are other faults the best thing i can recommend is to ask them for a written report on the faults so you can take the scooter somewhere else for a second opinion. i have had many issues like this, and unfortunately there are quite a few companies out there that will try to take advantage of scooter users. i use one myself and have had major arguments with some national companies regarding scooter faults. if the issue is just a distorted battery, try taking the scooter to a car battery centre instead. they can change the batteries, but will not have any added agendas trying to sell you a new scooter. hope this helps

check the freewheel lever on th rear of the chair near the right rear wheel if you can push the scooter easily then you are in freewheel locate the lever and move it to the drive mode and try to drive the scooter again if it still won't move then you have other problems that can only be checked by a service tech Hope this helps

Try Monsterscooterparts.com. make sure you go to the mobility medical dept. as they carry stuff for ATV's, and the scooters that kids ride on, pretty much anything that comes out of China electronically they will have the wiring harness you need. You may have to buy new batteries if it has not been kept up with charging.
