Xbox live Call of Duty 4 problem: connection lost

I keep having connection problems when I play COD4 (and similar problems playing World at War). When I run xbox live connection tests the connection is fine, but when i´m in the middle of a COD4 game I suddenly get a message that my connection is lost. I then have to sign in again to find out i´ve lost my stats and kills, really frustrating. The connection test doens´t show any NAT problems, i´m playing with a SMC modem using a ethernet cable. Please help me!

Try seeing that all things are plugged in and the ethernet cord is plugged in right because someone might have a horrible connection in the party you may have to restart the modem again

Hacking in any way is illegal. If he is getting hacked, change his Xbox live account password, and do not play call of duty world at war until further notice.

Zombie mode within call of duty is a game to test how far a player can go with only one chance/live. There is no saving or restarting whatsoever. There is no cheat to go around this. My only suggestion is for him to keep on practicing, and eventually he will continue to reach a higher level. There is also a variety of zombie maps that can be bought.

Hello,

I have heard of this happening before. You are reset to level 1 with negative XP and this stops you from playing online. Your only option is to contact Activision and possibly Microsoft.

I have read that the companies like to blame each other for the problem. So, when you call Activision, make sure they help you or speak to a supervisor if necessary.

Playing call of duty world at war on xbox live,i entered a game and when i quit the match i noticed i was negative 10 prestige on the game


Dashboard or restart your system. That is a glitch that sometimes happens. It's nothing you did, but rather the Activision servers sorta messing up.

Someone hacked my score to -2147483647 on call of duty world at war on the xbox 360, i have went from lvl 35 to lvl1 and cant play the online game


Your score is probably on Treyarch's servers and won't be reset, but maybe deleting your game save will reset it. WARNING: You will loose any progress you have made in the campaign, but you'll still keep your achievements.
To delete the save, go to the SYSTEM tab all the way right on the dashboard, Choose memory, then Games, then pick Call of Duty WaW, then pick delete. Look at any of the other folders and delete anything related to CoD World at War. Hopefully this will reset your score online.

All of a sudden when we start Call of Duty world at war it says there is an update for the game. Chose update and it then says that it cannot download the update and signs out of xbox live. You cannot not...


check playing with this disc on any other Xbox 360 connected to live, ideally the disc should not have problem since the problem you are facing could be with saving or downloading of the specific update required to play game online on xbox live which is mostly related to updated playlists.

If it still does not work, try erasing the saves for this particular game from your Xbox 360 HDD in case you are okay to forego the game progress / XP gained for the offline campaign play.

Game not working on x box 360 did work once but now it cannot read the disc, other games work well.the game is "call of duty world at war"


call of duty has a history of being a console killer, if your xbox 360 version is older, your console engine might not be able to keep up with this kind of game, I had an xbox 360 b4 and same thing happened it plays on other games but wont play with call of duty. It also happened to my ps3, what I did was I updated my firmware version for both console. Now both consoles works with call of duty. Give it a try. Thanks

Does it say things like, Searching for match? When I first started playing it did that alot. But eventually you get into a game. And you must beat the Campaign to be able to play Nazi Zombies.

i phoned microsoft about the problem, cuz i've been getting the same thing on other games too and at one point not even connecting on the dash, but when i test the connectivity everything is fine. the person who i spoke to at microsoft said "its a problem with x-box live, and they are working 24/7 to try to resolve this. it is a problem which started x-mas 07" looks like were all going to have to grin and bare it for a while because by the sounds of it they aint got a clue whats up with it.
