SOURCE: My bravettii slow cooker would not cook baked

Hello,
I can't solve your problem but I can sure relate. I am having the same problem with my Bravetti Pro (it's far from Pro - it should be called Bravetti Amateur) I tried cooking a small ham with cut up potatoes recently, and after 11 hours cooking at the medium setting, the potatoes were not cooked. I got this thing as a gift about a year ago, and although I've only used it a few times, it never seems to cook properly. Mine was purchased at Canadian Tire and although I don't have a receipt, I think I'll try to take it back. Good luck with yours!

Can I adjust the weight on a tower 2824h pressure cooker.I need to have 5lbs pressure and the weight is 15lbs and I do not have any instructions

Not sure I can help. Found this:

Tower 2824 12 Family Pressure Cooker (in the description: "The Family Pressure Cooker features three pressure setting controls")

The manual should have some instructions if your cooker regulator weight is adjustable. If not, try contacting manufacturer support.

Can I use my cook essentials pc400 programmatic pressure cooker for canning green beans?

Yes you can. The idea of pressure canning is to raise the temperature to above 100'C, 212'F. The higher temperature kills food borne organisms and bacteria.

Personally, as a chef, I would not can green beans as you will lose all the colour and any vitamins that were present by the long cooking at high temperatures. I would blanch them in boiling salted water and then drop them into ice water to set the colour and arrest cooking. The shake of the water and freeze them on a tray. Then put them in a freezer bag.

Should the lid have a steamer hole in it?

Slow cooking is done at below boiling point, so the lid doesn't require a steam hole. That is why you need to boil such things as beans before putting them into the slow cooker, as otherwise they never reach that temperature and can give you belly ache.

Where can i find a manual for ultrex pressure cooker?

The company had a major recall and went out of business. No manuals appear to be available on the web.
Here are some general instructions you can use:

1 Set up your cooker. Place your Ultrex Pressure Cooker on the stove. Remove the lid and pour in no more than 2 inches of water. Depending on what you are cooking the amount of water will vary. More water will ultimately cook larger amounts of food, but you will need to refer to your specific model's instructions on this matter.
  • 2 Put in the food you wish to cook. Close and lock the lid firm to the pot. Make sure it is locked securely so none of contents boil out of the top.

  • 3 Turn on your burner to high heat for approximately ten minutes. Allow the water to boil.
  • 4 Turn the stove down to a low setting after the water is boiling in the cooker. Flip the pressure valve closed and allow your food to simmer.

  • Set the pressure valve to ten pounds. For vegetables, cook 30 to 45 minutes. For meats, cook 45 to 60 minutes.5
  • 6 Open the pressure valve and allow the pressure to discharge. Unlock and remove the lid to find your fully cooked meal.

    Displays e4 wont work

Removed the 3 screws on the bottom. There is a relay near the circuit board. Kind of looks like an old morse code relay. Just tapped out "E 4" in morse code. Plugged it in and it works fine.

    Cooks too hot/fast

    Hi Wendigo,

Crock pots are not exact, they only have a "target" minimum temperature (to be sure they kill bacteria). It's possible you just have a relatively strong heating element.

Also, remember that the boiling point of liquids changes considerably with your altitude, so if you're in a mountainous region you may be seeing "boiling" at a lower temperature than you expect.
