I took the seal of the humidifier bowl to clean n it and can not get it back on

    does the hard plastic parts pull apart so I can get the soft plastic seal back on

Respironics, the manufacturer of the Respironics REMstar Heated Humidifier, has received complaints of failures of the AC inlet connector on the REMstar Heated Humidifiers manufactured between December 2001 and April 2003. A small number of these failures have resulted in thermal damage to the humidifier enclosure, and there is a remote possibility that a thermal failure could result in the ignition of materials external to the device. For this reason, Respironics is asking that you remove the humidifier from its power source. You may continue using your CPAP device.

Respironics has decided to take voluntary action to mitigate the risk of failure. This action includes only the model 1005792, U1005792, R1005792, SC1005792, AC1005792, and 1007861.
This voluntary action is classified as a medical device recall, and is being conducted with the knowledge of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

I wanted to clean the inside of the kaz vaporizer and i took the screws out but cant get the gray plastic off help it looks like there is a lot of dried minerals inside help please


I want to clean the white gritty minerals from the fly wheel inside the humidifier. I took the three screws out but the plastic wheel will not move. I'm afraid to force it...might crack or break.

Solenoid valve is allowing water to pass through when furnace is off, can valve be cleaned, I am sure it is full of calcium


The Valve could probably be removed and cleaned but whatever is causing the valve to leak may have damaged the valve sealing washer / o-ring or the valve seat. You coud try cleaning it and replacing any seals, but I suspect that only replacement of the whole assembly will fix the problem properly.

Venta-sonic VS 207 humidifier. Turns on but the display just flashes lights. I had it stored all summer (followed the manual instructions) and it's the first time I'm turning it on.


I had the same problem. During the cleaning process, the white float was installed upside down and humidifier water level sensor was unable to read the float. I removed the phillips screw and inverted the float with the dark ring toward the bottm. Quick fix.

Cleaning water tray


I usually just balance the tray upside down on top of the base and fill the edges with vinegar. You could also put the the tray in a bowl filled with vinegar and submerge the whole thing.
