I can see ipod nano on computer but unable to add or delete music

Music can only be added through iTunes. Open iTunes and click on the device icon. Drag music that is loaded in iTunes music library onto the device. If you haven't loaded music into iTunes, you have to do that first.

Delete music files from ipod touch

Bearshare is a program that can be used to download and listen to audio files on your computer. You can also use Bearshare to put music directly onto your iPod or portable music player. Using Bearshare to add songs to your iPod will save you the time of having to search for your downloaded files using iTunes. By using Bearshare, you can download a new song and place that song directly onto your iPod without having to open another software program.

Download the latest version of Bearshare (see Below). Install Bearshare onto your computer. When you do, Bearshare will search for audio files that are already on your computer. The program will then add those files to the "My Library" portion of Bearshare. Open Bearshare. Click the "iPod/Mp3 Player" option on the left side of Bearshare. Plug your iPod into your computer. A dialog box will open on your screen. Click "OK." The "iPod/Mp3 Player" option will be replaced with the name of your iPod. Click the "My Library" option in the top left corner of Bearshare. Any songs that you added when installing Bearshare or that you have downloaded with Bearshare will appear on the screen. Click on the song and then drag the file over to the name of your iPod found on the left side of the screen. Doing so will add that song to your iPod. Continue doing this until you are finished adding songs to your iPod. Disconnect the iPod and close Bearshare.

You need to download songs in mp3 format as any music you take from a cd will have copyright in the tracks and will not play on your ipod.

Cant get music on Ipod

Apple, the maker of the Ipod, requires you to use "iTunes" software to upload, transfer, and buy songs for your iPod mini. The software installation cd should come with your iPod, if not, you can download it at then going to downloads.

Hope this helps, have a great day! ^_^

You need to use itunes as your music management software and ipod management software. You can download the latest itunes version at

From here you can purchase items through the itunes music store, or add your own music by adding files from your computer, or putting a cd in your computer and coppying it into itunes so you can put the songs on your ipod.

Hope this helped,

Tranferring solutions

nahh, you shoulden need to do that.

Ive never heard about that "authorazi" issue before...strange M8!

When i tranfer/delete files on my ipod i just open the Itunes program, connecting my ipod nano, make a ney playlist, drag and dropp the files to that list (ist on the left side in Itunes program) and then i click on my Ipod in the Itunes program (ist in the midle on the left side in the Itunes program). Then i dragand drop the files in the map i want in my ipod.

So , here is step by step how to do it
1) download and istall Itunes v8
2) start the Itunes program
3) connect your ipod to your laptop/pc
4) Itunes schould find your ipod and swow it
5) click on your ipod in the Itunes program
6) try to create a new folder in your ipod
7) delete that folder by right click on ot and select DELETE
8) In the Itunes, create a new playlist
9) drag and drop the music files from your laptop/pc to that playlist
10) click on your ipod when done with the drag and drop
11) drag the file or folder from your new created playlist in to your ipod
VIOLA! that should do it and the files you wanted should now be in your Ipod.

If you want to delete the files on your Ipod just rightclick on them and select DELETE

Cannot delete songs

Your playing with fire when you don't use ITunes to put music on your Ipod. The best way to delete them is to restore your Ipod back to factory settings using Itunes.
