Question about Samsung Televison & Video
I started hearing a buzzing from the TV when I turned it off after a few seconds. It would only last for a second or two. Initial I thought it was a fan spinning down, but then I heard about the color wheel. Then last week a really loud buzzing started while I was watching the TV. I turned off the TV and turned it back on and the buzzing would go away. Then more recently when I turned on the set, I got sound but no picture. My question: Can this be due to the color wheel not spinning? Is there an interlock that will prevent the lamp from turning on if the color wheel is detected to not be spinning?
Actually yes, the thing is that the color wheel is also part opf the light engine system and if it's not working, it will prevent you to see an image, you will need to replace it and it's most probable to fix your issue, of course since it's a Samsunt Tv, you need to identify the type of color wheel that you have, it could either be one with a gold bearing or one with a silver bearing, just identify which one is the one you have, and you'll be goo to go
