check youre screen you will see an icon of needle you have got it in the down mode touch it it will raise it next time you sew it will be raised this is an option to have needle in fabric or raised on completion of sewing this is in your manual.

First, I would make sure the embroidery unit is unplugged if you r trying to sew and check the bobbin winder to make sure it is off. Also look for thread in the guide, these machines are very sensitive and when the slightest bit of thread gets caught in the tension of the threading format, the computer will automatically turn on error message.

If you got inside and cleaned and oiled the presser spring... then you have probably loosened the clamping mechanism that holds the presser bar. Get back inside. Look for a mark on the bar and adjust it so that the mark is UP near the clamp.
