This error on a Kitchenaid range indicates a problem with the keypad communicating with the main control unit. This can be caused by a wiring problem, a faulty keypad or a problem with the main control. The usual solution is to check the wiring and then replace the keypad if the wiring is fine. Replace the main control if the new keypad doesn't solve the issue. Note: some models only sell the keypad and main control unit as a single assembly.

However, you seem to be missing a digit from the end of the model number. See http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?model=ksgb900ess to see the two models. Some parts for the KSGB900ESS1 are here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/ksgb900ess1/0593/0124250.html . See the cooktop parts list and look at part 3.

I hope this helps.

F2-EO indicatwes a shorted key pad. Electronic parts on ranges sometimes have warranty for five years (may only cover parts) so check your owners manual to see what your warranty is then call for service. It is a good idea to save reciepts of repair for future reference if neccessary.
