How to replace thermoblock sensor?

To replace this part you will have to open the jura machine. I found this information out because I had the dreaded error 8 reading on my jura machine which stopped it from making coffee. To disassemble the jura coffee machine you'll need some special tools that I will talk about as I describe how to get to the sensor, make sure you get those tools or something similar.
The problem that you are having is the boiler is not heating properly (heating the water properly), so the taste of espresso will not be good. You need a high heating temperature to get good tasting espresso. This generally happens because the thermo sensor went bad and the electronic board is not sensing the proper heat because the thermo sensor went out.
1. Remove the drip tray
2. Remove the water tank
3. Remove the coffee cover and bean hopper cover (aroma cover)
4. Remove the cover for the pre-ground coffee shut
5. Now you will need to remove the cup warning plate that is stainless steel, it is fastened with 2 security screws. You'll need a Newelectronx t15 torx security screwdriver to take them out.
6. Now remove the top plate, there will be 5 screws fastening it down. Again use the Newelectronx t15 torx screwdriver to take them out. Pull it up to release.
7. On the rear end of the machine, you'll need to remove some weird oval head screws. The only place I could find the tool for this oval head screw was in the Newelectronx Coffee Tool Kit Set. Get the oval tool, which is different from the Newelectronx t15 torx bit and remove the next few screws. There are 2 screws - oval head, on the lower backside. Take off the rear back panel. On the left you'll find the mechanical parts.
8. On the boiler, which is the big metal part that is formed like an upside down tear drop. The thermo sensor is attached to the boiler with a screw - again use the Newelectronx security screwdriver to remove the security screw.
9. The thermo sensor connects to the electronic board. Detach the wire from the electronic board. Now the thermo sensor is off.
10. Replace the thermo sensor with a new jura thermo sensor that has the same wire colors. If the wire color is wrong the contact thermo sensor might not perform as it should.
11. Now put the machine back together. Good luck

How do i pull out the short cord?

I just now took a flat blade screwdriver, turned the coffee mill (Mr. Coffee) upside down, pushed the little bit of cord back in until I saw the cord wrapped around the base. Gently lifted it over the base and kept hand unwrapping it. Worked fine, will not retract, but this is not a problem for me. Hope this helps.

Why does hot plate for pot will not heat-up/mr coffee BVMC-EJX36?

No heat means either the heater element is "Open" or one of the 3 thermostats in Series with the Heater element is open.

you will need a Multimeter to measure... you will also need a phillips screwdriver and a Security torx bit to take the bottom cover off..

From there "CAREFULLY" put your meter on AC volts, and measure across the element... one side of the element has a white wire and the other side is going to one of the in-line thermistors... if you read 120 ish volts, then the element is shot... If it doesnt read anything, then keep one lead on the white wire while you trace back to the next thermistor for 120, then again trace back to the final thermistor... which is thermally connected to the element, that's the final one. If you still have no 120 volt, then the logic circuit is not firing the Relay on the PCB.

I know this because I've serviced one with a bad element... canot find a replacement part so far....

Go to a Harbor Freight store near you or on-line to get a kit of 100-piece security-bits for about seven dollars on sale. The kit contains about every design imaginable and has about 9 or 10 torx bits with hollow centers. Hope this helps!

Mr. Coffee CG13 12-cup coffee maker. Have used it

There is high temp tubing that may have come loose or become dammaged fromheat or the coil that heats the water may be leaking if you are using strong cleaning chemicals to remove scale from the unit. The bottom is held on with screws. Remove these and look to see what is the source of the leak.

Security screws on bottom of coffeemaker

I took a small (cheap) slot screwdriver with a blade just wide enough to fit into the wide part of the screw. I then took a hacksaw to the center of the screwdriver blade. This works best if the hacksaw blade is fairly thick. The idea is to remove enough of the center of the screwdriver blade so that the screwdriver can be inserted into the screw allowing the hacked out area of the screwdriver blade to fit around the stupid center post of the screw. The screws on mine weren't that tight, so I could turn the screws without twisting the screwdriver blade.

Coffee leaks from the bottom of the coffee maker

I just fixed my Mr. Coffee machine by removing the the 4 phillips screws in the bottom and re-attaching the red rubber hose to port it came off of. This is upsetting because if I knew this 2 months earlier - I would not replaced my old one with this one. These machines need a hose clamp to prevent this frequent failure. I will have some coffee now.
