How to cook a pre-baked spiral ham direction say 15 minutes per pound its 8.5 pounds at 15 minutes per pound Oven temp at 250 I got that, But do I need to poke holes in the Ham for brown sugar glaze?

All you need to do is wrap the ham tightly in foil and the last 15 minutes put the glaze on, let stand 5 minutes before serving. No holes!

I am cooking a roast beef dinner for Christmas I bought a 13lb chuck boneless and I need to know how long to cook in in a traditional oven.


5 After browning the roast at a 500°F temperature in the oven for 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 325°F. To figure out the total cooking time, allow about 11-12 minutes per pound for rare and 13-15 minutes per pound for medium rare.

Really, you need a probe thermometer. Leave it to rest for 15 minutes after you take it out of the oven, loosely tented with foil. I am a chef!

How long do I bake a spiral pre-cooked ham that weight 9.37 pounds? The directions read 10-12 minutes per pound. How long is that is hours and minutes? It's for Easter. Thank you.


A bit late now ,but should have been cooked at approx. 1hour and 30 minutes depending on the heat of the oven, and checking for doneness.

What temp for turkey done ?


Always use an oven bag is used to promote even cooking.

Microwave on MEDIUM (50% power) for 7 to 9 minutes per pound rotating dish every 15 minutes. Not recommended for turkey over 12 pounds
Use an instant-read thermometer after cooking. Turkey is done when thermometer reads 180 degrees to 185 degrees F for whole turkey or 170 degrees to 175 degrees F for turkey breast. Insert thermometer through **** in oven bag into inner thigh for whole turkey or into thickest part of breast for turkey breast.
For easy slicing, let stand 10 minutes after removing from microwave oven. To open, carefully cut or **** top of oven bag. NOTE Microwave directions were tested in 600 to 700-watt microwaves. Higher or lower wattage ovens may need adjustment in cooking times.

How do I cook a smoked ham in my rival elect. oven


Smithfield type country ham? Use the insert to soak it (I do two days in the fridge in skim milk made from nonfat dry milk), drain, add water and simmer in the roaster:

  • Bring water to 180 degrees (not quite simmering). Cook to 160 degrees internal temperature (or about 25 minutes per pound). Add water to keep ham covered.
  • Take ham from the pan and while warm, remove the skin carefully without tearing the fat. Dot the surface with cloves if desired, then sprinkle with brown sugar and bread crumbs
  • Drain roaster
  • Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees (or long enough to brown nicely).
  • This makes the ham tender and not as salty as straight roasting.

    For the turkey, should be between 20 - 25 minutes per pound. About 20 minutes per pound for the ham, if memory serves. This is after your smoker comes up to temp and you start to see smoke from your smoke chips/chunks.

    At about 20 minutes per pound, take the temp of the ham and turkey with a good instant read meat thermometer.

    Also, I generally don't use water in the water pan for hams and turkeys, but that is a personal preference. If you put water in your pan, it'll probably take a few more minutes per pound.
