Janome 3050 feed dogs wont come back up

Dropping the Feed Dog
The feed dog can be lowered with the drop-feed lever for sewing on buttons etc.
  • Shift the drop-feed lever to the right to lower the feed dog.
  • Shift the lever to the left to raise the feed dog, it will return to the up position when the machine is started.

NOTE:The feed dog should be in the up position for regular sewing. Turn the handwheel toward you to check if the feed dog comes up after setting the lever in the up position

How do I lower the feed dog on a Brother LX3125?

Look on the back of the machine near the feed dogs for a lever to lower them.
If there is none then you need a feed dog cover (or darning plate) that goes over the needle plate.
good luck!

How do I lower the feed dogs?

You need to say which machine you have.

Some machines use a mechanical device; some operate electrically and on some, you cannot lower the feed dogs at all.

On machines with no feed dog lowering device, the makers typically supply an additional plate that either clips over or goes under the needle plate (depending on the maker) to raise the work above the level of the feed dogs.

I purchase a free motion feet but it says to do so you have to lower the feed dog does the 7422 have a button to lower the feed dog and where it is located because i could not find onew can i do free...

You don't actually have to lower your feed dogs, lots of people FMQ without lowering, or you can tap a small piece of heavy paper (like an index card) over your dogs and poke a hole in the paper for your needle to go through which effectively takes the feed dogs out of commission too.

Lower feed dogs

had a quick look at the manual for this at www.singer.com and I'd say your machine doesn't have the function to lower the feed dogs, many don't. It shows a darning plate which goes over the feed dogs to sew on buttons so if you are wanting to do free motion embroidery or similar, then use this plate to cover up the feed dogs.

Error message asking to lower feed dogs before embroidering, feed dogs were lowered

Try raising and lowering the feed dogs a couple times there may be something in there that's tripping the sensor.

How to Drop Feed Dogs on Sewing Machine...

On many machines you tilt the machine back on its hinges to see the underside and there you will find a thumbscrew to lower the feed dogs...you also need to be sure that your machine is capable of having its feed dogs lowered...not all machines can do this!

Bernina 1130 feed dogs won't feed fabric

On a Bernina 1130 the power on-off knob and the feed dog raise and lower knob look similar and are next to each other on the end of the machine, making it easy to lower the dog assembly entirely, without realizing it. Make sure you didn't accidentally lower the entire feed dog assembly by turning the feed dog knob: you can tell as you turn it if the dogs are up or down. On the Bernina 1130 the knob, like the power should be in the horizontal position to be working both feed and power.

Dropping Feed dogs on kenmore model 19233

Remove extension table/accessory box by gentle pulling it away from machine. You are left with just the free arm. In the back of the free arm, lower left corner, you will fine the feed dog lever. Push the leaver to the right to lower the feed dog.Instructions for lowering and raising the feed dog are on page 48 of your owner's manual. Good luck!
