If you made a backup of your short cuts use the restore function in Tools to restore them otherwise download the latest version and start from scratch.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I'm trying to re-install 'firefox' but I get an error-Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.-how do I fix this?

Try rolling your computer back to an earlier date. Assuming you have created a restore point, open your Control Panel, select System Recovery, and Restore to Previous Settings. You will not lose any files but may lose recently installed programs including Viruses.

When trying to go to firefox or upgrade/download it shows the following message (also showing when I try to link in outlook 2007)Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system admin

Uninstall Mozilla Firefox like you normally would and then you need to go DELETE THE FOLDER for Mozilla under C:\Program FIles\ to make sure EVERYTHING is gone. Then try re-installing Firefox again and let us know.

I have an IMAC and all of a sudden yesterday I cannot scroll down on facebook account!

Ruth, the solution would be to reset firefox back to its factory settings. First you will want to export your favorites and make sure that you have all your passwords for all your favorite sites documents.

To back up your bookmarks you will:
1. Click on Bookmarks under the bookmarks menu or under the orange firefox menu in the upper left hand corner.
2. Click on "Import and Backup" this menu will allow you to export your bookmarks to an HTML file, save that to your desktop.

Now that we have your bookmarks saved we can reset your browser.
1. Click on the help menu or in the upper left hand corner click on the firefox menu then help.
2. Under the help menu you will click on Troubleshooting information.
3. On the new window that opened you will see in the upper right hand corner a button that says "Reset FireFox" you will click that button and allow it to complete.

That will restore FireFox to it's original settings, allowing all your pages to load correctly.

To restore your bookmarks you will
1. Click on the bookmarks menu or the orange FireFox menu in the upper left hand corner select bookmarks.
2. Click on show all bookmarks.
3. Click on import and backup
4. select your backup file on the desktop.
That will restore all your bookmarks to your browser.

I hope this helps, please let me know the outcome.

Firefox accidently deleted during system restore

You will need to download and reinstall firefox. Also, it's usually a good idea to use the latest version as there are usually patches and security updates with new releases.

Hope that helps!

How do i restore my web address box & the back button & also the 'File' 'Edit' buttons on my Mozilla Firefox??

The Firefox "menu bar" includes dropdown menus for various tasks (including "File", "Edit", etc.). If the menu bar does not display, press the "Alt" key (if you are using Windows). That will restore the menu bar temporarily. To restore it permanently, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolbars > Menu bar

The Firefox "navigation toolbar" includes the "back", "forward", "reload" buttons, and the address bar (where you type a web address). If the navigation bar does not display, go to the menu bar and select:
View > Toolabars > Navigation toolbar

    • Disable all add-ons: Disables all added themes and extensions.
    • Reset toolbars and controls: Removes any made toolbar customization.
    • Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults: Replaces your bookmarks with the default bookmarks.
    • Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults: Restores the default Options and preference settings and resets the default theme. It also changes back to default all the entries in the about:config page.
    • Restore default search engines: Adds back all of the default search engines (Google, Yahoo, eBay, Creative Commons, Answers.com, and Amazon.com fixya.com,ehow.com) , without removing any added search engines.

Now everything should be back to default, as if you just installed a new fresh copy of Firefox.

If you have a flash drive available try downloading Mozzilla Firefox onto it from another computer from this site: http://download.cnet.com/mozilla-firefox/?tag=mncol
Load it onto your computer and see if that will get your internet going. I had the same problem and tried this, and wouldn't you know it, I like Firefox better anyway!
