Two screws at the back of the machine. Then slide the top back and lift. You might have to give it a tap with a mallet if it's stuck, Don't use a hammer as you might damage the lid..

Such problems cannot be treated by experts in proxy, it's either they are there to solve it physically or you call Maestro customer care (1 888 337 9033) to officially lodge a complain and you will be directed to their nearest repair center...
