Question about Garden
I have a 2 year old Toro 6.5 hp walk behind mower that has been kept inside. Usually starts with one pull, even after winter storage. I was mowing and accidentally hit a piece of stone and it died, but when I pulled the starter it started right up on the first pull. I continued mowing that day for a long time and it ran great until I killed it when I finished. The next time I tried to start it, it wouldn't start at all and didn't even feel like it had any compression. Wouldn't start with plenty of oil and gas and a new spark plug and clean filter. When the spark plug is out, the piston is moving, but there still is no compression at the point where there should be. The blade is moving and there is no sign that anything is broken, but it seems that the valve is opening at the wrong time. Any ideas? If hitting the rock sheared the shear pin, why did it start back up and continue mowing great after that? The shear pin wouldn't throw the timing off would it?
Yes the shear pin will throw the timing off.check it anyway it might be ok but then again you ever know.check for fire coil should be at 010.from frywheel it might slip check compresstion anyway with gauge then valve gap need manual for this if ohv check pushrods this could make bad compresstion if one is bent.let me know want you find out ok
