SOURCE: 700t trotter cybex treadmill

Hi again,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

To your concern:

  • Error 1 - No speed signal at startup. This indicates that the controller board did not sense that the motor is turning. Procedures call for checking of the belt, the SCR (triac) controller (with an analog continuity tester), the presence of 130VDC spike/startup supply (with a voltmeter) and the brushes. Since you have replaced the brushes, the others then.
Of course the above requires familiarity with electronic components and circuitry, the use of an analog multimeter and possibly soldering. Should you be uncomfortable, then perhaps as you posted, "send the complete printed circuit to be check".

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: I bought a used Cybex Trotter 700 T treadmill that works fine except the increase speed (+) does not work. I tried to fix it and now all of the buttons don't work. Any sugestions?

Dear Sir:
This is probably a 1(faulty speed sensor or the 2( speed sensor is not plugged in properly. Its also possibly a 3(faulty motor control board or lower board+ 4( Main motor faulty. Adjust the speed sensor see the diagram.

Run the software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting.

How to remove error 2 on a cybex trotter treadmill

Hi There,

This error leads to excessive current according to this .pdf.....
http://gymstore.info/manuals/upload/Cybex/cybex_error_codes.pdf
This mentions checking the motor, and certainly could be generated from the lower control board. I recall these controllers as quite large with maybe 4 to 8 large storage capacitors on them, which do fail over the years, and could cause this. Does the tread run at all? Error right away or move the belt then error? You can contact jatinah@rocketmail.com for more help if needed. Good Luck.

Cybex 520t error 6

Replacement Parts for Fitness Exercise Equipment at SPORTSMITH
Error 6 is a motor over voltage error. Motor voltage exceeded 200 VDC for 200 milliseconds. This can be caused by a worn deck and belt due to a lack of routine maintenance. AKA adding wax between your deck an belt. You might be able to wax your machine and make the error go away. More than likely a new deck and belt will be needed. Using the link below and your model and serial number, you can find the needed items. In worse case scenario, you may also need a new motor control board.
