SOURCE: REMOTE CONTROLS WILL NOT WORK-WALL BUTTON FLASHING RAPIDLY

Does your wall switch have a lock feature? By pressing the lock button, the remote control is disabled. A flashing light indicates this feature has been activated.

To deactivate, press and hold the lock button for 2 seconds. The flashing should stop and your remote should work again.

SOURCE: Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

HOPE THIS HELPS

During a garage remodel, my Sears automatic garage motor was unplugged and the wire going from the motor to the push button on the wall had to be cut and spliced back together. Door wouldn't go down on...

Make sure the solid white wire from each door sensor is attached to terminal #2 and the white wire with the black tracer is attached to terminal #3.

The solid white wire from the wall control goes to terminal #2 and the white wire with the red tracer goes to terminal #1.

If the green light in the wall control is blinking press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

You need to post again with a little more detail. Does it stop on the way up? down? do the main lights flash? Does it do the same thing when you use the wall button?

HAVE SEARS/CHAMBERLAIN "91"MODEL 53615SR AND NEIGHBORS OPENER KEEPS OPENING OUR GARAGE DOOR BUT OUR OPENERS WONT OPEN HIS

Look at the LED light next to the SMART/LEARN button on rear of the motor unit. You may need to remove a light lens cover in order to see it. If the light is flashing rapidly this means you have a stuck button on one of your remote controls. Take the batteries out of each remote control. When you remove the batteries from the bad remote, the light will stop flashing. This remote needs to be replaced.

If one of your neighbors remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls. Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. If the symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed from the motor unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires leading to the wall control button.

Door goes up on its own after using remote to close door upon returning home to find door is open

Make sure the door doesn't hit the floor and then reverse. If it does you need to adjust the 'down limit' which is on the side of the motor unit. Turn it a bit in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. You may also have a bad wall control or the wiring to it. The wall control goes bad from use and the staples holding the wiring sometimes cuts through the insulation and cause intermittent operation. You can eliminate this possibility by removing the wire on terminal #1 on the rear of the motor unit. You can eliminate the wall control by removing the wires connected to the back. Your remotes will still work.

Sounds like the gears might be out of the operator. If you can remove the cover see if there are white shavings in the cover. A Craftsman operator will take gear kit # 41C4220A
