    Should use 45/5 or 50/5?

  • solver2010 Apr 18, 2017

Please explain your question. 45 what, and 5 what? And 50 what and 5 what? Just as you should never connect a 12 volt light to a 120 volt circuit, neither should you connect a 45 volt or a 50 volt rated capacitor to a 370 (three hundred and seventy) volt application! It could EXPLODE and leave debris everywhere ... including in your face!

How can I fix my dryer?

The timer hasn't sped up, its the capacitor connected to the motor is running out of charge so the motor will start slowing down and not turn as fast. If you take the back cover off, look for the wires coming out from the motor and there will be usually 4 and 2 attached to a cylinder shaped AAsize battery ( which is what a capacitor basically is) behind a bracket hidden away. Replace it with another capacitor but make sure it's the same charge as the one replacing. There's a number on the front of it followed by mF and that's the size you need. Most dryers run 8 mF but check yours just in case it's not that size. Same thing happens to washing machines with a timer/clock on the display.. Only thing is they seem to go back in time when the brushes are worn
P.S
so it makes more sense why you can't fit a bigger capacitor then the size already there, as you would think a bigger size means more charge so it lasts longer, but no that's not the case. A bigger capacitor will make the motor turn faster which will make it burn itself out

Trying to determine what size capacitor my unit C1048BBD1VF uses for my AC unit. Is it larger then a 45 amp? Replace it with a 45 and you can hear it try to turn on but it won't.

capacitors are rated in microfarads or picofarads and not amps
capacitors are used to provide a boost voltage to start motors and then to keep them running
Amps is current flow so what ever you replaced was the wrong unit.
on the side of a capacitor will be voltage rating (110-115-220-240 etc and a number 45 -55 60 uf etc
it will have either 2 terminals or 4 terminals connected as pairs
from what you describe it is a capacitor problem

No picture on tv samsung

Capacitors are blown. I have repaired a few of these. Samsung is known for putting capacitors in that are just big enough to run the TV. They last about 1 to 2 yrs and then blow. Check out youtube and see what there is on there. I replaced all the capacitors on mine. There were 11 of them. I put in a slightly larger capacitor size. It works well and has been for 2 yrs now.

My problem my galaxy 88hl is a mic what ceramic capacitor

Any newer 4 pin CB mic will work on your radio. If this does not solve it then please be more specific. A ceramic capacitor is a little electronic component that is circular and often time brown colored and can vary in size from minute to maybe 1/2" in size.

My AC wouldn't come on 2 months ago. I called a company to look at it. They said that the capacitor had gone out. When they went to replace it, they didn?t have the right size so they used two...

previous fix would not have caused the compressor failure. Most likely the compressor on its way to failing actually caused the original capacitor to fail. The 2 capacitors together is the usual fix when a dual capacitor is not in hands reach.

Capacitor size

Sure- that's the maximum rating. In fact, if Polaroid had used 35v rated caps in the first place, we probably wouldn't all be replacing them.

BTW another replacement that worked perfectly here.
