Unfortunately the LED panel is bad. If it still under warranty, Samsung will replace it for you.

Testimonial: "Please face the truth, that somebody who authorized you did mistake. I told you before that only moving images looks like shadows. So this is 100% not LED panel. FYI: I fixed my TV for $58."

Please face the truth, your TV is not worth to repair if it is out of warranty.

I am not rude. You answered to my problem in one week and without any other questions you are saying that the problem is LED panel. And you highlighted few times that you are authorized Samsung servicer and I just said that with service like this you can't be authorized...

Deal with a unreasonable person like to try to fix a broken LCD panel, it is not worth for it.

LCD controler for $48 and $10 shipping is cheaper than new TV.

My Samsung TV screen about half way down is shadowed/translucent, what can I do to fix this?

I do not see any attachment here. Anyway, according to your description, it sounds that its T'Con board is faulty. Replace it. This is a typical fault symptom to a damaged T'Con board. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.
Faults & possible causes to LCD screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent

My Nikon D40 has developed a shadow in photos, not associated with lens. Please advise.

Is this shadow more like a spot that you can see clearly in areas of the picture like the sky? If so, this could be dust on the sensor. This is easy enough to remedy. Just Google the words "how to clean a DSLR sensor" and you will find sites that explain in detail with pictures the entire procedure. You will also find the materials needed and where to find them.

Acer Monitor

I have no idea about the game connection, don't add to many questions to this, as you can research that stuff yourself as you are now a expert in your own eyes. There is a driver for that monitor located on the Acer website and they offer a 3 year warrenty on the monitor. I doubt the driver will fix your issue, but it is at least worth a shot.
If what you say is true, then it looks like to me you've tried just about everything that can be tried and I would lean toward explaining to Acer why you need a replacement monitor.

Did you use the Automatica Convergence to try and straighten it out? If that does not help, you can manually adjust the convergence.
