How do I connect Pioneer equalizer SG9500 to a Sony STR-K740P and Sony CD DVP NC600?

Equalizers can be hooked up two stereos a few different ways. If your receiver or amplifier has what's called a processor loop that is where you would connect the output of the processor to the input of the DEQ and then the output of the processor loop to the input of the Eq. This would be visible on the back as for RCA jacks either with a selector switch above to determine whether you want to use the loop or not or jumpers that go from one of the RCA's into the other input to output for when you're not using that loop. The other way would be to connect it to the input and output for a cassette deck you would hook it up the same way however that would depend on whether your receiver has a separate tape monitor button. If your receiver let's say is In FM mode and you press tape and it still shows FM on but an indicator for tape Mon comes on as well then it will work OK. But, if you must switch off of FM to put on the tape Mon. You prob won't be able to use an eq with that receiver. Then your only other option would be to put the eq between a source such as CD....etc and the input for that source barring phono.

I Bought a Sony STR-DH130 2-Channel Hi-Fi Receiver and a AudioSource EQ 200 Graphic Equalizer. I connected them and the equalizer does not make a difference nor does it change the sound, can someone

Well i have a equalizer, some times and just(studio gear) the output from my mixer connected to my equalizer and that output to the monitors., It might be a wrong connection orrrr have you put the equalizer on the receiver input signal, that signal has to be the right impedance and your receiver will propably make the signal linair, so that,s useless

Perhaps, my message has already sent, but I am unable to check. I purchased a set of two new belts vor my Harman Kardon TD420 tapedeck but don't know how to install them. The larger belt (square) is...

Older cassette decks used belts from the motor to the capstan, another from the motor to an idler assy. or tape reels (FF & RR) and another belt driving the mechanical tape counter.

Amplifier - TA-AX380; CD Player - CDP-C40; AM/FM Tuner - ST-JX380; FM Stereo/FM-AM Receiver - STR-AV570X, and Stereo Cassette Deck - TC-W380.....all Sony. Very old system, do not have the manuals, they...

Since you have 2 receivers, you can either use the Sony STR-AV570X or the TA-AX380. You will need 3 Stereo RCA Cables to connect your CD Player, Tuner, and Tape Player. The speakers connect to the receiver you choose using the speaker input terminals.

I have a sony str-se491 reciever and am trying to hook up a 901series 5 equilizer the reciever has surround sound but no amp

You can't activate any Tape Loop on an AVR and still have multichannel sound. Tape Loops are 2-channel analog.

You want the 901's to be your Main Front speakers, right? The news is not good.

There will be some limitations because you can't extract a 'processed' Front L-R from this receiver. The following will give you good stereo and Front L-R from the 901's but it won't allow central volume control or send them any of the DSP effects you may select. Sorry. If it had a Front L-R Pre-Out you'd be good to go for all functions and listening modes.

You'll need a separate stereo amplifier WITH ITS OWN VOLUME CONTROL for the 901's to accommodate the need for the Active EQ. Modest amps would work but at very loud volumes may go into clipping, which is bad for any speaker. I'm using only 100W for mine and it has plenty of steam for the 901's.

With this receiver we have to cheat to get the Front L-R signal out to the 901's (but it's unprocessed and at a steady MAXIMUM volume level)...

For connection I would run a pair of RCA cables from the MD/Tape Audio Out L-R OUT jacks (*) to the Active EQ's Line IN; then the EQ's Line OUT to a separate amp's Line IN. Attach the 901's to the new amp.

* You
