What needle do I need for Garrard turntable model 3250? My needle is missing because of my son discarding it.

If you look at the cartridge it fits into. Then you will see a model type and number. Enter that into Google and the stylus will also turn up.

Manual for crosley record player model CR6249A-G1

The cartridge rear usually has markings on it for ground, and right and left channels. Use a continuity meter to identify the wires and then connect to appropriate pins on cartridge. They may be color coded with red for right, and black for ground and another color for the other channel.

How do I remove and replace the needle and cartridge on an Emerson MS9923TT turntable?

Most of these cartridges either clip in or are held by a small screw somewhere. You will need to remove the connection wires first. Make a note of which coloured wire goes to which pin. Some pull off with the fingers. Others need small pliers to remove them. Use only gentle pressure.

Turntable has new needle but will not play

if wires and needle are good is the rca jacks in a input phono aux are the ones to use and the amp is set to aux or phono is the ground wire in ifit isnt working then its more likely the cartrage is shorted out thats the metal box that the needle is connected to

I have a magnavox micromatic turntable and the wires to the needle have come off. Can you repair?

Since I can't be there for you I would suggest a nice small TV repair shop can do the soldering job for you. It takes a steady hand, small tools, and soldering talent.

No instruction manual for Garrard B20 turntable

With the unit sitting that long, the belt is likely to be junk. This unit should be overhauled. A replacement belt is around $10 and all of the existing grease should be remived and the unit re-lubed. I generally do this for about $50 plus parts. Any shop that handles audio equipment should be able to do this for you for about the same amount. Also, the needle should be examined and replaced if necessary. Dan

Any of the following cartridges will fit your turntables:

CARTRIDGES @ 1200s.com

I don't suggest using the originals that came with the turntables, as they aren't of the greatest quality. For a small investment (about $50), you can get some better quality cartridges/needles.

Emerson NR305TT - Replacement Turntable Needles

I have the same model. Though I haven't replaced the needle yet, I was able to remove the broken one. You'll see that the arm has a red plastic attachment. It houses the needle in a very thin strip of something like electrician's tape. There is a very small separation on the front (end of the arm facing you) of the tone arm, where the arm (black plastic) and needle "cartridge" (red plastic) come together. I used a metal nail file and pried them apart very gently. At this point the red plastic "cartridge" with the broken needle was hanging but still connected on either side. The red plastic "cartridge" is made with tiny plastic 'bumps' that pop into indentations built into the black plastic of the arm. Again, using my metal nail file, I simply held the arm and pried the red plastic "cartridge" away from one side. It popped off the other immediately and fell away from the arm. Voila!

Hope this helps!
