I. don't know if it is the rubber gasket or the

The back of my mazda keeps getting wet when we have heavy rain.I can't tell if the rubber gasket around the door needs to be replaced or the latch needs adjustment so the door closes tighter. What do you suggest I try.

Try turning a hose or better still a pressure washer on it concentrating on the gasket area.

That should give you a clue

Use a garden hose with no nozzle. The water could even be coming in from around the trunk lid.

Pull distributor cap and dry it off. Dry the wires. Not fixed? Change the spark plug wires.This rotary is wet at a source in ignition circuit.

possibly your plugs or coil getting wet I would suggest getting a water resistant silcone spray and giving your plugs and coil a coat of spray thus will prevent it from getting really wet also check your rubbers around your hood replacing them might also help stopping water getting in

Trunk leaking water when it rains

The rear window seal may be leaking into the trunk.The window may need to removed to fix it correctly then you can see if there is rust holes in that area.
