The first thing we can try here is checking the status of the printer in the control panel in the Printers and faxes.
Go to start->control panel-->printers and faxes
now check if you see the Epson printer

If its greyed out,its the prob with the connectivity, check the status ,if it says offline
bring it online by doing a right click on the printer icon and selecting Use Printer Online
also check if there are any pending documents in the queue,cancel the pending documents by right clicking and choosing the Cancel All Documents.

to check the driver status
Goto->start->run->(type in the box) devmgmt.msc
this should open up the device manager
check the printer entry,
if it has a yellow exclamation mark
do a right click on the entry and try updating the drivers
else
unplug the usb cable from the rear of the computer
and uninstall/reinstall the drivers by following the instructions on the cd
