Do you have the subwoofer amp connected to the pioneer thru pre amp connections; pre amp output of pioneer to pre amp input of Kicker amp. Page 10 of the manual explains how to adjust the subwoofer output. You can select the cutoff freq. that will pass to the subwoofer; The slopes don't match perfectly, but if you use the -12 slope , it should work fine.
Cut-off frequency:
50HZ
-
63HZ
-
80HZ same as kicker cut in freq
-
100HZ
-
125HZ
-
160HZ
-
200HZ
Output level:
-
24
to
+6
Slope level:
-
6
-
-
12

Will a pioneer receiver vsx d309 run 2 8 ohm speakers and 1 jl audio w3

It will drive the speakers but not the subwoofer. U need to connect the subwoofer pre- output from your amplifier to another amplifier that will drive the subwoofer.
If you connect the subwoofer directly to your amplifiers speaker output it will force the subwoofer to play the entire spectrum of frequencies (not designed to do that) consequently causing damage to the sub and maybe even the amp. So use the sub pre out.

hope this helped

I do not how to connect subwoofer to this one...

There are two ways that I see for connecting a subwoofer to this unit. One input and one pre-out connection, both are analog connections. Both connecting sections are placed laterally from each other about the center of the panel. I can see the high probability of confusion with the connection options.
Connect your subwoofer via the terminal labeled "sw" in the Pre-out section.

Subwoofer pre-out wires

Sorry for the stupid question but is your subwoofer a powered sub? The subwoofer out is just a preamped signal that drives a powered subwoofer. Let me know then we can go from there.

HI,go into the yam setup menu and make sure you have the sub turned on and cross over set to about 80hrtz if this suits your speakers, set sub level to about -5 on amp and say half way on the sub, this should work if not pull out sub cable at amp and touch the end,you should get a hum,if not you may have no power, faulty cable or sub.
PS>make sure you are pluged into the sub PRE OUT and NOT the six channel in.
Hope this helps.

How do i connect my subwoofer to my sony dvd player to get the great surround sound?

there will be a subwoofer pre out( needs to be amplified) or if it don't have subwoofer pre out you will have to send the audio out to a stereo reciever that has inputs for the optical ( digital audio signal )( to a stereo or surround system that has 5.1 or higher has full surround sound ) and of course L and R audio inputs and the subwoofer pre out , then the subwoofer pre out will have to be amplified by a reciever , subwoofer amp , surround sound , ect
