Question about Krups Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines

1 Answer

Krups XP9000 The main fuse blows when using frothling nozzle. Sometimes even just when turning on the machine.

I have tried to change the cord when I thought that was broken. No luck. I have cleaned the nozzle manually with a cuetip as far up as it goes. If I'm lucky, the machine will work for a couple of coffees but suddenly when using nozzle, the main fuse blow. Please advice how to fix it. Thanks

Blowing a main fuse is an indication of a short or insulation failure
have an accredited electrician test the unit to find the fault

Testimonial: "Thank you, I guess that's whats left to do. I might have a check inside the machine to see if I can find where the problem is. At least to be able to take photos of what I find. I do love my Krups and want to keep it. Don't want to have to buy a new one. Thanks!"

I opened the machine again and can see nothing unusual. All cables that I see looks good and connections where I guess they should be. Took a lot of photos for later.

Edit. Today I ran the machine wide open and at the rinse water process I saw a connection leaking, dripping water into the machine.
I guess I found what is causing the short circuit. I will let it dry completely and try again. I fixed the leak and hopefully it will work after some drying.

It was a good idea to open the machine up to see what happens inside when problem occured.

I filmed what happend efter fixing the leak and lots of smoke came up and main fuse blew.
At first I was not prepared, I was focusing on the connection that leaked before. It had stopped after me taking the parts apart and together again.
Guess it was the old leakage that caused the short circuit.

Hello, I have Krups XP-7220. When I try to make a coffee, machine start to ask me for refilling. And this process is endless.

Check the water float in the tank, it is common for them to cease floating sometimes. Krups solution is a new tank, my solution is to jam something plastic underneath it to lift it up so that it activates the sensor. Even if tank is empty it will no longer ask you to fill it up.

Krupps XP9000 won't accept date so therefore won't switch on

Are you attempting to put the date in in the wrong format. USA = month and then day, normal folks day and then month. Check language setting.

When machine is turned on from the off position it does not go into rinse mode message comes up to hot please wait and yet the machine has been turned off for at least 20hrs

the power on sequence for the XP9000 is
1) Internal diagnostic
2) if no cold water, display notice and wait for water level in cold water tank
2) if water heating block is not hot, display notice and wait for block temperature
3) display "Rinse Press Hot Water" notice and wait for button press
4) rinse
5) display "Select Beverage" and wait for button press, ground coffee flap, or other input switch state change.etc...

in short... its doing what its supposed to.

Please consider reading the manual supplied wih your XP9000 or downloading the manual if you don't have it.
